Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady
Monday 15th August is the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady and is a Holyday of Obligation. Masses in Glengoole on Monday at 10.00 and 7.00; Masses in Gortnahoe on Monday at 11.15 and 8.00.

400 Club Parish Development Draw for August will be in Gortnahoe Hall on Monday night 15th August at 8.30, after Evening Mass.

Jesus taught that those who show mercy will receive mercy. “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy”

Year of Mercy Liturgy
Sunday 14th August – Slievenamon – Stations of the Cross and Mass. Gather in O’Donnell’s Field, Killusty South 1.30 to 4.00. All welcome. “The time has come for the Church to take up the joyful call to mercy once more.” – Pope Francis.

Eucharistic Adoration
Glengoole: Wednesday from 10.00 to 8.00.
Thursday Gortnahoe from 10.00 to 7.00.

Pilgrimage of The World Apostolate of Our Lady of Fatima
The Annual National Pilgrimage of The World Apostolate of Our Lady of Fatima will be at Holycross Abbey on Sunday 28th August. Ceremonies begin at 2.30. Mass will be celebrated by Retired Archbishop Clifford at 4.00.

Walk in aid of Motor Neurone Disease and Ballysloe Tidy Towns
Ballysloe Tidy Towns will hold an 8k (5 miles) Walk, run or cycle on Thursday 25th August at 7pm in aid of Motor Neurone Disease and Ballysloe Tidy Towns. All participants must wear high visibility clothing . Regisatration in Hogan’s Bar from 6.00 to 6.45. €10.00 per entrant. Family discount and accompanied children under 12 are free.
