Special Collection
At the request of His Holiness the Pope a Special Collection for the support of the Catholics of Ukraine will be taken up at the end of all Masses this week-end. This is a once-off Collection, so we request generosity from everyone

Family Mass
May Family Mass will be on next Sunday 1st May at 10.00 in Glengoole and 11.15 in Gortnahoe. The Theme of the Mass is honouring Mary our Mother.

World Youth Day in Krakow
Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly involvement in World Youth Day – four places have become available for World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland from July 25th to August 1st. For further information please contact Fr. Dominic Meehan, C.C. Templemore at 085 1111320.

Eucharistic Adoration
Glengoole, Wednesday from 10.00 to8.00. Gortnahoe Thursday 10.00 to 7.00. Come to spend the hour in adoration.

Preparing for the Annual Parish Exam Mass
A meeting to make all the necessary preparations for the Annual Mass will take place in Gortnahoe Hall on Monday night next 25th April at 7.30. So that every young person doing public examinations can be personally invited, we ask for as many people as possible to come along to this meeting to ensure our full support.

Remembrance for the Holy Year of Mercy:
The Spiritual Works of Mercy.

  1. Instruct where necessary.
  2. Counsel the doubtful;
  3. Comfort the sorrowful;
  4. Gently alert a friend to his/her harmful behaviour;
  5. Bear wrongs patiently;
  6. Forgive all injuries;
  7. Pray for the living and the dead.

Ecumenical Centenary Service of 1916
Ecumenical Centenary Service of 1916 remembering the Easter Rising and the Battle of the Somme will be held in Kilcooley Church on Thursday 28th April at 8.00. This is an involvement of both the Catholic parish and the Church of Ireland Parish in remembering all who died and praying for peace..

Important Public Notice
Due to Health and Safety issues regarding overhead wires, the relocation of the Botttlebank at the present site in Gortnahoe is now necessary. If a suitable site is not found in the near future, Gortnahoe will lose out on this service within the next three months. Anyone with information on how we can resolve this problem, please contact any member of the Tidy Towns Committee.
