Temperance Sunday
We encourage people to observe temperance for Lent by staying off alcohol for Lent as a penance. Family Mass for February is on this Sunday in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. Thanks to all for your involvement.

Glengoole: each morning except Monday at 9.30.

Ash Wednesday
Wednesday next is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. A day of fast and abstinence. Mass also in the evening, at Glengoole at 7.00 and Gortnahoe at 8.00. Ashes will be blessed and distributed at all the Masses.

Lent
Please make Lent a time for more prayer, a time for sacrifices, a time to make sure we celebrate the Mercy of God in this Special Year by going sincerely to confession during the Lenten season.

Trocaire
Boxes for all families in the parish are available on the seats in the Churches this week-end. Please give generous contributions at the end of Lent to help the poverty stricken and refugees.

Assembly Day of Prayer
The Diocesan Eucharistic Apostolate is holding an Assembly Day of Prayer on Saturday 13th Feb. from 9.30 to 12.30 in St. Patrick’s College, Thurles, conducted by Fr. Vincent Stapleton and concluding with Holy Mass. All are welcome. The weekly Adoration will be in Glengoole on Wednesday from 10,00 to 8.00 and in Gortnahoe Thurs. from 10,00 to 7.00.

Camogie Club Annual 5k Run
Gortnahoe-Glengoole Camogie Club Annual 5k Run will be on Sunday 3rd April at Gortnahoe.

Men’s Shed meets
