Faith and Formation Group Meeting
The monthly Faith and Formation Group takes place on Tuesday night next from 8.30 to 10.00. A warm welcome to all.

Text Alert Scheme
As you are aware our Text Alert Scheme is up and running. A call to all parishioners: If you notice something suspicious happening, night or day, alert the Gardai in Thurles Phone No. 0504 25100, giving as much helpful information as you can. If you receive a Text Alert, be alert.

In order to complete the programme of painting the existing poles and erecting the rest of the poles, volunteers are most welcome. Give your name to Joe Dufficey at 087 2572228 or Fr. O’Rourke at 087 2370899.

Cemetery Committee Meeting
A meeting of the Good Shepherd Cemetery Committee takes place on Tuesday night at Prouts at 8.00. All please attend this important meeting.

Parish Annual - last call for articles
A final call for material for the Annual, so make sure you have material organised and forwarded before this Monday. A meeting will be held this Monday night at Fr. O’Rourke’s house at 8.00.

Ballysloe N.S. Cookery Demonstration
A Cookery Demonstration in aid of school funds will take place in Gortnahoe Hall on Thursday 17th October at 8pm sharp, hosted by Naomi of Naomi’s Cafe Thurles. Tickets are €15.00. Great night.

Golden Oldies Photo Book Launch
The official launch of the Gortnahoe/Glengoole Parish Golden Oldies Photo Book is on Friday 18th October at 7.30 in Gortnahoe Hall. Live music, Dancing, refreshments. Admission free. Come along.

Monster Auction
Monster Auction in St Mary’s Hall Johnstown in aid of Kilcooley Union of Parishes on Sunday 13th October, viewing from 1.00. Auction starts at 3.00. Wonderful value in firewood and household items etc.

GAA Lotto
There was no winner of the € 7,000 Jackpot. The numbers drawn were 1, 4, 7 & 23. Lucky Dip winners were Mickey O’Neill, Gortnahoe, Billy Byrne, c/o Hogans, Ballysloe, Tommy Hayes, Lisduff and Eddie Frahan, Cork. Sellers Prize Winner was Leonard Stanley, Georges Park. Next Draw at Hogans, Ballysloe for € 7,200 Jackpot.
