The 50th International Eucharistic Congress
The Final Mass (Statio Orbis) will take place in Croke Park on Sunday 17th June. The capacity will be limited to 80,000 people. A limited number of tickets are being made available to each diocese for distribution; Cashel and Emly has been allocated 550 tickets. These are in turn allocated to the parishes of the diocese on a pro rata basis. Gortnahoe and Glengoole Parish has been allocated 12 tickets.
Anyone wishing to attend the celebration in Croke Park must apply for a ticket, using an application Form which are available in the sacristies and must be returned to Fr. Irwin or to Fr. O'Rourke by Friday March 2nd. This is the first allocation of tickets and a second may be made after Easter.
Morning Masses
Gortnahoe: Each day except Tuesday and Friday at 9.30
Glengoole: Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.30
First Thursday
Glengoole: Mass in Latin on Thursday at 7.00.
First Friday
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30. Mass 8.00
Glengoole: Confessions 6.30. Mass 7.00
First Saturday
Gortnahoe; Devotions of Reparation and Mass at 9.30
Family Mass
The monthly Family Mass for March will be Sunday next 4th March at Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15.
The theme is "God on our side". We invite all families to be with the children preparing for First Confession and First Communion to this Enrolment Mass for those children.
Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration continues every Wednesday in Glengoole Church from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm. On Thursday in Gortnahoe Church from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm. Thanks to all of you who are fulfilling your hour every week. All interested in committing to a specific hour, please contact a committee or ring 086 0815361.
Womens Day of Prayer Ceremony will be in Gortnahoe Church on Friday night 2nd March after the 8.00 Mass. Come along and join in the prayer.
Trocaire envelopes are available at the end of the Churches. Contribute generously to the charity throughout Lent.
Drama
Due to popular demand Glengoole-Gortnahoe drama Group will stage the final performance of the award winning play "The Lonesome West" in Glengoole hall on Friday 2nd March at 8.00.
