Gortnahoe Hall Down Your Way Recording
An invitation is extended to all parishioners to a recording of “Down Your Way” with Eamon O’Dwyer in Gortnahoe Community Centre next Thursday night, 26th September at 7.30 sharp. The occasion is the 21st anniversary of the opening of the Hall.

Our Parish into the future
Considering the changes in our practice of religion and the number of priests decreasing we need now to prepare for the future. Priests and people are invited, from all the parishes in the archdiocese, to be part of a Development Course on the five Wednesday nights in October in St. Patrick’s College, Thurles, from 7.30 to 9.30 each night. Together we can fulfil what God wants of us and ensure that we will hand on the faith. Give your name to Fr. O’Rourke before Wednesday of this week.

Youth Choir
Gortnahoe Youth Choir will commence on Monday 23rd September from 7.00 to 8.00 in Gortnahoe Church for young people aged 9 to 14 years. We will be learning new material and practising two or three times per month. If you play an instrument, please bring it along, as this year we will be incorporating much more music played by choir members. We will have a separate practice during school hours for children under 9 years old and plan to have a separate slot during Family Masses for this age group. Site beside Gortnahoe Church
Plans have been submitted to South Tipperary County Council. It is planned to apply for Grant Aid. It is therefore necessary to have matching funds. Ideas for Fund Raising would be appreciated.

Table Quiz
The Gortnahoe Playground Group will be holding a kids Table Quiz in Gortnahoe Hall on Friday 27th September at 7.30. Entry is €3.00 per child. Age Group, 2nd class to 6th class. Lots of attractive prizes.

Gortnahoe Senior Citizens Upcoming events
October 29th Club Day, with speaker o healthy eating. November 19th Bus trip to Rathwood to do shopping. Arrangements later. November 26th Mass for the deceased. December 8th Party, dinner, dancing and music.

Gortnahoe Glengoole Defib
Gortnahoe Glengoole Defib have arranged training on Thursday 3rd October in Gortnahoe Hall from 7.30 to 9.30. Training is free, but certs are at a cost of €5.00. Anyone interested please leave your name at Ann Stokes, Gortnahoe P.O. It is hoped that anyone trained would be able to commit to the defib rotas. This is a voluntary, but vital service within our parish.

Parish Annual
We have reached the final week for material for the Annual, so make sure you have material organised and forwarded. A meeting will be held this Tuesday night at Fr. O’Rourke’s house at 8.00.

G.A.A. Lotto
There was no winner of the €6,400 Jackpot last week. The numbers drawn were 8, 18, 29 & 21.
