Diocesan Needs Collection
This Collection, to help fund the needs of the diocese is being taken up this week-end. Please contribute generously to this vital fund. If you have overlooked it, please contribute as soon as possible.

First Thursday
Glengoole: Mass in Latin on Thursday at 7.00.

First Friday
Glengoole: Confessions 6.30. Mass 7.00.
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30. Mass 8.00.

First Communion
First Communion for Glengoole and Ballysloe children will be in Glengoole Church on Saturday next 4th May at 11.00. Please remember them and their families in your prayers.

Family Mass for May
Family Mass for May will be next Sunday 5th May, in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. Theme is honouring Mary, “Queen of the May”.

St. Vincent de Paul
St. Vincent de Paul Society Meeting in Ballyaloe School on Monday night at 7.30. Sincerest thanks for your contributions to their recent Collection.

The Unborn
Saturday 4th May is designated as a special Day of Prayer for unborn life at Our Lady’s Shrine, Knock focusing on prayer and liturgy.

G.A.A. Lotto
There was no winner of the € 2,000 Jackpot at the Draw at Hogans, Ballysloe. The numbers drawn were 6, 10, 11 &, 25. Lucky Dip winners were Derry Fitzgerald, c/o Hogans, Joe O’Brien, St. Kierans, Seamus Treacy, Mellison, Mgt. Stokes, Ballysloe. € 25 Sellers Prize, Gerry Cahill. Next Draw 2nd May at Hogan’s, Grange. Jackpot of €2,400.

Talent Competition
Gortnahoe Senior Citizens will hold a Talent Competition on Tues. 30th April at 2.30 in Gortnajhoe Hall. Other Clubs will also take part. We look forward to you singing or dancing or reciting poetry.
Juvenile G.A.A.: U16B v Moyne-Templetuohy in Templetuohy on Monday at 7.30.; Please come along and give your support.

The Flying Nun Fund
Cake Sale in Glengoole Hall in aid of ‘The Flying Nun Fund’ on Sunday 5th May, after The Family Mass, Free teqa and coffee. Donations of cakes, buns, tarts, bread and scones most welcome. Hall open at 7.00 pm on Saturday and 9.30 am on Sunday.

Parish Annual
It’s Parish Annual time again. Our next meeting will take place at Fr. O’Rourke’s on Monday night 27th May at 8.00. New ideas and suggestions for the 2013 Annual would be so appreciated. We welcome new members. Items can now be emailed to parish annual@gortnahoe.com or handed in at Gortnahoe Post Office.

Good Shepherd Cemetery
The Committee will hold a Get-Together in the cemetery next Wed. 1st May at 7.00 to plan the clean up for this year’s Massa. We would welcome family members with relatives buried here to come along and help. Annual Mass will be on Friday 28th June at 7.30.

MFRC Course Information Morning
If you are under 35 and in receipt of Social Protection come to an Open Morning at the Millennium Family Resource Centre, Glengoole on Tuesday 14th May from 9.30 to 12.00.

Drama Group stage ‘Sive’
Moyne Drama Group will stage ‘Sive’ at the Moyne Hall on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th May at 8.30 each night. Tickets at the door, but come early.

Prayer of Trust in Jesus
