Pope Benedict XVI
The Retirement of Pope Benedict XVI on Thursday next will be marked with a Mass in Gortnahoe Church on Thursday night at 8.00. Come along.

Confirmation
Confirmation Day is Friday next 1st March in Gortnahoe Church at 11.00. You are all invited to this ceremony and please pray for the children and their families this week.

First Thursday
Glengoole: Mass in Latin at 7.00. Communion to all the housebound in the parish will be on Thursday this week at the usual times.

First Friday
Glengoole: Confessions 6.30. Mass 7.00
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30. Mass 8.00.

Family Masses
Monthly Family Masses will be on Sunday next, 3rd May, Glengoole at 10.00 and Gortnahoe at 11.15. The Theme is the support of Trocaire on this its 40th year. Fr. Joe Walsh will be speak at both Masses to promote Trocaire.

Ecumenical Service
World Day of Prayer Ecumenical Service ‘I was a stranger and you welcomed me’, will be celebrated on Thursday 28th February at 8.00 in Kilcooley Church. All are welcome.

St. Vincent de Paul
St. Vincent de Paul Meeting will be in Ballysloe School on Monday night 25th February at 7.30.

Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration continues every Wednesday 10.00 to 9.00 in Glengoole Church and every Thursday 10.00 to 9.00 in Gortnahoe Church

Pro-Life Walk
Pro-Life Walk on Sunday 24th February from Thurles Cathedral after the 12.00 Mass to Holycross Abbey, followed by Devotions there, with Mass at 4.00. Coaches will be provided to bring people back to Thurles.

Community Alert
A really important meeting for the parish will be held in Glengoole Hall on Tuesday night 26th February at 7.00. When we come together and organise ourselves as a parish, with the support of Muintir na Tire, we can reduce the risk to everyone, especially the elderly

There was no winner of the € 16,400 Jackpot this week The numbers drawn were 4,13, 23, & 25. Lucky Dip winners were Garry Peters, Urlingford, Billy Barnaville, Gortnahoe, Dick Tobin, c/o Bergins & Doireann O’Neill, Fennor. € 25 Sellers Prize winner was Mary Willies Next Draw is 28th February in Dolly’s, Glengoole. Jackpot will be € 16,600.

Cross Border Punch Up
Tickets are almost sold out so don’t delay in buying. Entry will be by ticket only. No tickets sold on the night.

G.A.A. Club Development
A one-off workshop for the 5 yr development Plan will be held in Gortnahoe Hall on Friday 8th March at 8.00. This is most important for all and all proposals will be discussed.

Parents Association
Thanks from Parents Association of Gortnahoe N.S. to all who made the Cake Sale such a success.

Glengoole United
Thanks from Glengoole United F.C. to all who made their Fund Raising for the Irish Cancer Society such a success. € 2,300.00 was raised and donated.
