Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
The annual Ecumenical Service for Christian Unity will be in Gortnahoe Church on Sunday next 27th January at 7.00. A very warm invitation to everyone.
Gortnahoe Folk Choir and all singers
There will be a choir practice this Wednesday 23rd January in Gortnahoe church at 8.00 in preparation for the Christian Unity Ecumenical Service on Sunday 27th. Come along.
Clerks’ Collection
The Annual Collection for the Clerks of our Churches will be taken up next week-end, 26th and 27th January. We invite everyone to show their appreciation for the work and care taken by Josie and Bridie at all events in the churches throughout the year. This is the only Collection each year. Envelopes for the Collection were included in the list to each home.
Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week 2013 will be from 27th January to 2nd February. Please keep the schools and the pupils and staff in your prayers.
The Gortnahoe-Glengoole G.A.A.
Club invites all members and supporters to a meeting in the Community Hall on Tuesday 29th Jan. at 8.30 to discuss a 5 Year Plan regarding Club and Games Development of the Club. And also help promote the Cross Border Punch Up. Tickets at P.O., etc. for € 20.00
G.A.A. Lotto: There was no winner of the € 15,400 Jackpot this week The numbers drawn were 1, 3, 26, & 30. Lucky Dip winners were Noel Corbett, c/o Hogan’s, Ballysloe, Maurice Bourke, Urard, Pat Wall, Fennor, Dolores Miskella, Coole. € 25 Sellers Prize winner was Siobhan Ryan. Next Draw is 24th January in Hogan’s, Grange. Jackpot will be € 15,600.
EB Fitness
Want to tone up and lose that extra weight gained over the Christmas, then why not try EB Fitness, aerobics and body conditioning Classes in Gortnahoe Community Hall every Thursday night 8.00 to 9.00, commencing January 31st. Sibling Bereavement Support Group
Anam Cara Parental and Sibling Bereavement Support Group will hold a gathering in Horse and Jockey Hotel, on Monday 28th January from 7.30 to 9.00 pm. Presence is free. For further information call 01 4045378.
