Family Mass
The theme of our Family Mass this week-end, in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. is “Waiting for Jesus”, to begin Advent.

Morning Masses
Gortnahoe: each morning except Friday at 9.30.
Glengoole: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.30.

Feast of the Immaculate Conception
Saturday next, 8th December is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, a Holyday of Obligation. Masses in Glengoole on Friday at 6.30 and Saturday at 10.00, in Gortnahoe on Friday at 7.45 and Saturday at 11.15.

First Thursday
Glengoole: Mass in Latin at 7.00.

Housebound
Holy Communion to the Housebound will take place as usual this Thursday and Friday.

Sale of Work
Gortnahoe Sale of Work is on this Sunday 2nd Dec. Starting at 1.30. Ensure all donations and tickets are left in the Hall before 1.00. Enjoy the day at all the stalls, visiting Santa and winning great prizes at the Wheel of Fortune, etc.

Glengoole Church Readers Meeting will be on Thursday night next, 6th December at 8.00. All readers please attend.

Choir Practice
Choir Practice for Sunday 16th December Carol Service: There will be a practice for the Children’s Choir, Gortnahoe Folk Choir and Glengoole Choir next Wednesday 5th December in Glengoole Church at 7.00 sharp. New singers and musicians are most welcome.

St. Vincent de Paul
St. Vincent de Paul Society Annual Christmas Collection will be next week-end, 8th & 9th December. Please give generously to such a worthy cause. If you need financial help for Christmas, please fill in an Application Form and return it in a sealed envelope to the boxes in either Post Office by Dec. 7th. The SVP will do their very best to give help to as many as possible.

2012 Parish Annual
The 26th Edition of the Gortnahoe Glengoole Parish Annual has been launched. It is currently out on sale in the local outlets, along with being after Masses and the Sale of Work this week-end. We thank you for your contributions to this year’s book and hope you enjoy the read.

Senior Citizens Christmas Party
Gortnahoe Senior Citizens Christmas Party will be on Sunday next 9th December at 1.00 in Community Hall. Come and enjoy a great afternoon.

GAA Lotto
There was no winner of the €14,000 Jackpot on 29th Nov. at Prouts. Numbers drawn were 4, 16, 24 and 27. Lucky Dip winners were Alex Bartley, Graigue, Caitriona Stokes & Nicky, c/o Post Offcie, Marian Teehan, Grange & Kathleen O’Neill, Gortnahoe. € 25 prize winner was Michael Cahill. Next Draw for € 14,200 at Hogans, Ballysloe on 6th December.

Medal Presentation Night
Medal Presentation Night for U-14 Team, who are Mid Tipperary Champions, will be on Thursday 6th Dec. in Gortnahoe Hall at 8.00.

Playground Group
Gortnahoe Playground Group thanks everybody, especially the Glengoole Gortnahoe Drama Group, who supported the recent Drama night.

Table Quiz
Grange Development Group are holding a Table Quiz in Hogans of Grange on Friday 7th December. Your support invited and appreciated.

Hall Collection
Thanks for your generosity to Glengoole Hall Collection. € 863 was raised.

Preventing Break-ins to Presbyteries
Over the past two week-ends ten priests houses in South Tipperary have been broken into while the priest was celebrating Mass. Please be observant and if you see anything suspicious call the Gardai at 0504 25100 and make noise and use lights around the house.
