Priests Collection
The October Collection for the Archbishop and priests of the diocese will be taken up next week-end. Please give generously, following the suggestions given at the beginning of the year. Envelopes for the Collection were distributed at the beginning of the year. We ask the usual Collectors to kindly attend.

St. Vincent de Paul
St. Vincent de Paul Conference Meeting will be in Ballysloe School on Monday night at 7.30.

Glengoole Hall
Painting and cleaning work on Glengoole Hall will continue on Monday night at 7.00. Again we stress that volunteers are needed. Come along this Monday night at 7.00.

Classes
A briefing for the Classes which will commence in Gortnahoe Hall shortly will be held next Wednesday night 3rd October at 7.30. In the recent Newsletter distributed to every house was a questionnaire. We thank householders for returning the questionnaires so far. Further ideas for classes will be welcome on Wednesday night. Avail of the opportunity to be involved in suitable classes with each class having enough participants.

Parish Annual
Only days to the closing date for all material in order to publish the 2012 Parish Annual. Please ensure that you have all the memories of the year sent through before Monday next 1st October. Special occasions should be remembered by submitting photos, or articles, eg. Baptisms, Weddings, Graduations, Wedding Anniversaries, etc. Make this year’s Annual a great read. Preferably email to parishannual@gortnahoe.com or drop the material to Ann Stokes at Gortnahoe Post Office.

There was no winner of the € 12,200 on the 27th September. Public Meeting
Thurles Community Hospital Action Committee invites you to a Public Meeting in Tipperary Institute, Racecourse Road Thurles on Thursday 4th October to highlight the continued closure of beds. Doors open at 7.45.

Successful Ageing
Positive Education Week Thurles organized by Successful Ageing, Thurles, from 1st to 5th October includes a selection of events, including a trip to Croke Park. Leaflets available from Thurles Library Phone 0504 29720. See poster at the end of the Church.
