Priests Collection
The second Clergy Collection was taken up on the first Sunday of July. We thank our parishioners who have generously given to this Fund to date.
The four Priests Collections are Easter, July, October and Christmas. To date the amount collected at Easter was €8,426 and July €5,441, Total €13,867. We are way under our projected average figure to date for the 12 months. We would greatly appreciate if any parishioner who has omitted to pay the July Collection and any outstanding amount from Easter could be handed in this or next weekend to keep the fund up to date.
At a public meeting last January the Priests Collection and the shortfall for previous years was discussed. The meeting was informed that the annual levy on our parish is €40,756 known as the Common Fund.
