Morning Masses
Gortnahoe: each morning except Friday at 9.30.
Glengoole: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.30.

Family Mass
The theme for our September Family Mass this Sunday 2nd September is “Celebrating our Talents”. As a community we have a fantastic array of skills and hobbies. Let us bring God’s Blessing on all.

First Thursday
Glengoole: Mass in Latin at 7.00.

First Friday
Glengoole: Confessions 6.30. Mass 7.00.
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30. Mass 8.00.

Meeting
There will be meeting of the St. Vincent de Paul Conference in Ballysloe School on Monday night 3rd September at 7.30.

Parish Annual
Material required for the 2012 Parish Annual; we need your articles, photos of Baptisms, Weddings, Special Occasions and all activities around the parish. The book covers the events of the past year and travels the country and around the world, with your material. We can make this an interesting read. Preferably please email to parishannual@gortnahoe.com or drop to Ann Stokes at Gortnahoe Post Office.

G.A.A. Lotto
There was no winner of the € 11,400 on the 30th August. The numbers drawn were 8, 11, 26 & 28 Lucky Dip winners were Saoirse & Aoibhe Bourke, Graigaheesha, Rose Delaney, Inchorourke, Grainne O’Gorman, Boulick and Richard Dunne, Graigue. Seller €25 winner was Doireann O’Neill. Next Draw for €11,600 at Dollys, Glengoole on 6th Sept.

Raffle
A special Raffle will be held at Gortnahoe Bingo next Saturday night, 8th September in aid of Trocaire. A Hamper and other prizes to be won. We look for parish support for this very worthy cause.

Millenium Family Resource Centre
Minister Frances Fitzgerald, will be visiting the Millennium Family Resource Centre, Glengoole on Wednesday 5th September at 11.00 to unveil a mural depicting the lives and history of the Slieveardagh area. Everyone is most welcome to attend this Community event. The project is a partnership between MFRC and South Tipperary Brothers of Charity, who operate from the centre.

Little Buddies Room
Gortnahoe Community Playgroup will re-open their ‘Little Buddies Room’ on Monday 3rd September: 9.30 to 12.30 daily. ‘Bright starts Room’ will re-open on Wednesday the 5th September 9.30 to 12.00, Wed. Thurs & Fri. We cater for children aged 2 yrs 6 mths upwards. Enquiries to Stella at 087 6509625.

Back to School
God’s Blessing on all children and teachers returning for the start of the new School Year. May the support of families ensure that what is possible for the children will be achieved.

New Macra Club
New Macra Club for Thurles and surrounding areas: If you are aged 17 – 35 years don’t miss the first meeting of our new Macra Club. People who use an aerial to get television need to switch to digital or they will be faced with a blank screen.
