50th International Eucharistic Congress Ireland
June 10th to 17th 2012

 

Morning Masses
In Gortnahoe Monday, Wednesday & Thursday at 9.30
In Glengoole Monday and Tuesday at 9.30

First Thursday
Glengoole: Mass in Latin at 7.00

First Friday
Glengoole: Confessions 6.30. Mass 7.00
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30. Mass 8.00.

First Saturday
Gortnahoe: Devotions of Reparation and Mass at 9.30

Family Mass
The monthly Family Masses will be next Sunday 3rd June in Glengoole at 10.00 and Gortnahoe at 11.15. The Theme will be the promotion and understanding of the Eucharist. Please come along.

Priests Collection
The Education of Priests Collection will be taken up next week-end. Envelopes for the collection were distributed at the beginning of the year.

Golden Jubilee Celebration Mass will be in Gortnahoe Church on Monday 4th June at 7.00. Donations of cakes, etc welcome in the Hall from 5.00.

Eucharistic Congress
The National Committee are looking for people to attend and participate in the Opening Ceremony on Sunday 10th June in the R.D.S.. Each province will be represented at the ceremony. It would be great to see the province of Cashel and Emly well represented at this event. As it will be televised by RTE, a practice will take place on Saturday 9th in the RDS. Transport will be arranged. Anyone interested in being part of the Opening Ceremony give their names to Fr. Irwin or Fr. O’Rourke by June 1st.

Eucharistic Congress
Archbishop Dermot Clifford and the other bishops are deeply grateful for your donations to the four Collections for the Congress since 2009. Your support means that Ireland is able to extend a warm welcome to visitors from all over the world to the International Eucharistic Congress from June 10th, with the theme The Eucharist – Communion with Christ and with one another. Keep the Congress in your prayers.

If you would like to give further support to the Congress, please give your donation to Fr. Irwin or to Fr. O’Rourke.

Child Development Programme
Gortnahoe-Glengoole Juvenile G.A.A. Club are holding a Child Development Programme for U6, U8 & U10 Club Coaches and parents who are interested in helping on training days or days of games. All will be welcome on Monday 28th May at 8.00 in Gortnahoe National School. Please wear suitable indoor footwear in the new School Hall.

G.A.A. Lotto
There was no winner of the €8,800 Jackpot on the 24th May. Numbers drawn were 9, 14, 18 & 19. Lucky Dip winners were Angela Healy, Urlingford, Tara Murphy, Carlow, Seamus Doheny, Graigue & Breda Hogan, Clonora. €25 Seller Prizewinner, P.J. Gleeson. Next Draw €9,000 31st May.

G.A.A. County Board Draw
All names and money must be with Andy O’Gorman by Thursday 30th May at the latest. Be sure to be in the Draw.

Table Quiz
Support the great Table Quiz in aid of Gortnahoe Community Field in Mary Willies on Saturday night next 2nd June. Table of 4 is €20.

Hog in the Bog
Come along to this Parish Social night on 23rd June at Mary Willies. Music from 9pm with Na Fianna on stage from 10.30. Adm €10.00. Pig on the Spit. Prtize for the best Hill Billie. Come and meet your friends.
