'Habemus Papem' – We have a Pope
We wish our new elected Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV every blessing as he takes on his new role as Chief Shepherd of the Catholic Church worldwide. To paraphrase some of his first speech after his election: “We are Disciples of Christ, Christ goes before us, and the world needs His light. We have to look at how we can be a missionary Church, building bridges, dialogue, always open to all who need our charity, our presence, dialogue, love. We need to be a synodal church, walking and always seeking peace, charity, closeness, especially to those who are suffering”.
