Morning Masses
Gortnahoe: each morning except Friday at 9.30.
Glengoole: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.30.

Family Mass
This Sunday, 1st September is Family Mass Sunday in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. At the Mass we are invited to make our Year of Faith a time to bring us closer to God. There will be a meeting of the Family Mass Committee on Monday 2nd September at 7.30 in Gortnahoe Hall to organise for October Family Mass and the coming year.

First Thursday
Glengoole: Mass in Latin at 7.00 p.m.

First Friday
Glengoole: Confessions 6.30. Mass 7.00 p.m.
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30. Mass 8.00.

St. Vincent de Paul Society
Meeting in Ballysloe School on Monday night at 7.30. All members please attend.

Glengoole Hall
A Scrap Metal Collection will be held in September to raise funds. More details next week. Painting of the rear of the Hall takes place next Saturday, 7th September from 10.00 am. All volunteers welcome.

Parish Annual
A meeting of the Parish Annual Group will take place in Fr. O’Rourke’s House on Tuesday next 3rd September at 8pm. We welcome any new members to join the team. Please note all organisations to submit your articles as soon as possible. Photographs of Christenings, Weddings and special Birthdays and anything else of interest. Thank you.

Gortnahoe-Glengoole Juvenile G.A.A.
Our U-16s were beaten by Loughmore on Monday 19th by 7 points in the championship. They are entered in a Blitz in Templetuohy on Saturday 31st. Best of luck lads.

The U-14s were beaten by Durlas Og on Thursday 22nd in the first round of the B Shield by 3-04 to 5-04, their next game is Thursday 29th V Loughmore in Gortnahoe. Hopefully they get a win.

The U-12 Group 3 played on Tuesday 20th V Durlas Og. We lost by 6 points, but put up a good fight. We were just short some players who were on holidays, better luck next game. They play Thurles Gaels next Tuesday 27th in Kickam Park at 7.00.

Gortnahoe Youths F.C.
The new season is starting shortly and the Club will hold a Registration Evening next Wednesday, 4th September from 7.30 to 8.30 in Gortnahoe Community Field. The Club will have teams at U6, U8, U10, U12 & U14. Training for U12 and U14 takes place same date and time as registration. All new players welcome. Calor Community Champion
