Morning Masses
Gortnahoe: Monday, Tuesday and Friday.at 9.30
Glengoole: Wednesday and Thursday at 9.30.

Youth Choir
Gortnahoe Youth Choir will commence on Monday 23rd September from 7.00 to 8.00 in Gortnahoe Church for young people aged 9 to 14 years. We will be learning new material and practising two or three times per month. If you play an instrument, please bring it along, as this year we will be incorporating much more music played by choir members. We will have a separate practice during school hours for children under 9 years old and plan to have a separate slot during Family Masses for this age group. Prayer for Syria and the Middle East
You are invited to pray and fast on Friday 13th and Holycross Novena has a special day for Peace and Reconciliation on that day with Penitential Services at 7.30 and 9.00.

Site beside Gortnahoe Church
Plans have been submitted to South Tipperary County Council. It is planned to apply for Grant Aid. It is therefore necessary to have matching funds. Ideas for Fund Raising would be appreciated.

Gortnahoe Senior Citizens
Committee meeting on Monday 9th September at 7.30 in Gortnahoe Hall. Please come along.

Celebrating Year of Faith
A special night, celebrating the Year of Faith, will be held in Kilcommon Church on Tuesday night 17th September. Chief speakers will be John Waters and James Kilbane. All are invited.

Parish Annual
We are coming close to the final date for material for the Annual, so make sure you have material organised and forwarded. A meeting will be held this Monday night at Fr. O’Rourke’s house at 8.00.

G.A.A. Lotto
There was no winner of the €6,000 Jackpot last week. The numbers drawn were 3, 5, 10 & 30. Lucky Dip winners were Jim & Helena Rafter, Gortnahoe , Breda Dwyer, Longford Pass, Tommy Hayes c/o Kevin Slattery, Gerry Kavanagh, Grange. €25 Sellers Prize was Anne Stokes Gortnahoe P.O. Next Draw 12th Sept. at Hogans, Ballysloe for €6,200.

Glengoole Hall
Scrap Metal Collection, 21st September from 8am to 3pm at Glengoole Hall. All metal items accepted – gates, radiators, bikes, tanks, old cars, washing machines, cookers. NO gas cylinders, fridges, microwaves or TVs..Make it a very valuable day for the Hall.

Live a Healthier Lifestyle
Shape up, get fit, and lose weight by joining our new and exciting exercise classes, designed for all abilities. Every Tuesday (to be confirmed) and Thursday at Glengoole Hall at 7.30. Commencing Thursday 19th September. Contact Nicola Harding at 086 3249226.

Gortnahoe Youths FC
The following are the Training Days for our Soccer teams in September; starting this week, U 12 & U 14s every Wednesday from 7.30 to 8.30. U 6 U 8 U10s every Friday from 7.00 to 8.00. O God, who have revealed that peacemakers are to be called your children, grant, we pray, that we may work without ceasing to establish that justice, which alone ensured that lasting peace. Let us ask Mary to help us to respond to violence, to conflict and to war, with the power of dialogue, reconciliation and love. Amen.
