Pope Francis coming to Ireland
What a wonderful piece of news earlier this week that Pope Francis will be among us in August for World Meeting of Families, including Mass at the Phoenix Park on Sunday 26th August.

World Meeting of Families
Collection for the World Meeting of Families, If you were not present for last week’s Collection please place your contribution in a separate envelope and leave it with the usual Sunday Collection. A very special Collection.

Morning Masses
Gortnahoe Monday and Wednesday at 9.30
Glengoole Monday and Wednesday at 9.30

Area Mass
Area Mass in Ballynonty will be at the Centre on Monday night, with Confessions at 7.30 and Mass at 8.00. A warm welcome to all

Parish Confessions for Easter on Tuesday
Glengoole; Confessions at 6.30 and Mass at 7.00.
Gortnahoe; Confessions at 7.30. Mass at 8.00

Chrism Mass
Annual Chrism Mass will be on Wednesday night in the Cathedral, Thurles at 7.30 at which the Holy Oils for this year in the archdiocese will be blessed. Come along to represent your family and the parish.

Holy Thursday
Mass of the Lord’s Supper in both churches at 7.00. Bring along your Trocaire contributions, in notes rather than in coin, if possible. Procession to the Altar of Repose after Mass, followed by Confessions. Please come to a Holy Hour in each church from 9.00 to 10.00.

Good Friday
Day of fast and abstinence. Ceremonies in both churches at 3.00. Stations of the Cross at 7.30. A collections for the Holy places will be taken up at both ceremonies. Confessions after ceremonies.

Holy Saturday
Confessions in Glengoole 12.00 and in Gortnahoe 12.30.

Easter Vigil
Ceremonies and Easter Mass at 8.00 in both Churches includes Easter Fire, Blessing of Paschal Candle and Easter Water, renewal of our Baptismal Promises and the Easter Mass. No Masses at 6.30 or 7.45.

Easter Sunday
Masses in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15

Priests Collection
The Easter Clergy Collection will be taken up at all Masses on Easter week-end. Everyone is asked to contribute generously, remembering that there are still only four clergy Collections in the year. Envelopes were distributed in January. We ask the usual collectors to attend.

The Bishops of Ireland have set aside this weekend and next weekend for prayer for the protection of life from the moment of conception to death.Please make this intention part of all your prayers and support.

Bingo
Special Bingo night in Gortnahoe Hall will be on Friday night 30th March at 8.30., a night always special with great crowds and great prizes.

There was no winner of the Jackpot of €16,000 Numbers drawn were 12, 15, 16 & 25. Lucky Dip winners were Marian & Kieran, Crab. Jennifer O’Brien, Ryan’s Shop, Gortnahoe and Mark Ryan, Gortnahoe. Sellers Winner was Ml. Egan. Next week’s Draw will be at Prouts on Thursday 29th March for Jackpot of €16,200.
