Ash Wednesday and Lent
Wednesday next, 14th February is Ash Wednesday and the first day of Lent. Masses and the blessing of ashes will take place on Wednesday in Gortnahoe at 9.30 and 8.00. and in Glengoole at 9.30 and 7.00.

Once again this year you are invited to be really generous to the Trocaire fight against poverty. Trocaire Envelopes for all families will be available on Ash Wednesday and the following Sundays. Make sure you bring one homer ane have it in a prominent place during Lent.

Preparing for World Meeting of Families in August
We are invited to make St. Valentines Day, February 14th a special day to express Good Wishes to a\ll family members and to all our extended family. |Special Greeting Cards and Family Prayers for that day are available throughout the Church which have been provided for all. Please take what you wish.

Eucharistic Adoration
Glengoole on Wednesday from 10.00 to 6.45.
Gortnahoe on Thursday from 10.00 to 7.00.

Glengoole Hall Collection
Annual Church Gate Collection will be next week-end, 17th and 18th Feb. Please support us as we have been approved this week for Leader Funding Grant of €29,926 for new floor, insulating and tilling.

MFRC, Glengoole Catering for the Older People
Basic nutrition and practical cooking skills will be held in The Centre, Glengoole free on five days, from 9.30 to 3.45 each day. The Dates are Mon. 19th Feb. Thurs. 22nd Feb. Mon. 26th Feb. Fri. 2nd March & Mon. 12th March. Places are limited, and booking is essential. Contact Siobhan Cahill at 052 9157992.

Bereavement Talk by Peter McCartan
Anam Cara Bereavement Talk by Peter McCartan will take place at Milford Care Centre on Thursday Feb 15th from 7.00 to 9.00. Book in advance.

Preparation for the World Meeting of Families
Training for those who would like to help out with the facilitation of the World Meeting of Families Amoris Parish Conversations Programme will take place in Ballykisteen Hotel on Shrove Tuesday 13th Feb. at 7.00, to begin at 7.30 until 9.30. Please book your place with the priests of the parish and have them pass on the word.

Blood Donor Clinic in Thurles
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will be holding a blood donor clinic in the Dome, Semple Stadium, Thurles on Monday 12th Feb. from 2.00 to 5.00 and from Tues. 13th to Thurs. 14th inclusive from 5.30 to 8.30.. Support such an essential cause by donating blood.
