World Meeting of Families
Pope Francis has chosen Ireland for the 9th World Meeting of Families which will be held in Dublin in 2018. This will be a really important meeting to promote family life in the world and may be marked by a visit to Ireland of Pope Francis. To prepare for this occasion a special Church Collection will be held in all churches in Ireland next week- end, 28th & 29th of May. This extra collection will be taken up after Communion at all masses on Saturday and Sunday next. Please give generously to support such an important event.

Site Beside Gortnahoe Church
A meeting to review the progress on the site beside the Church will take place this Monday night at 8.00 in Gortnahoe Hall. All are welcome.

Exam Mass in the Parish
The Annual Exam Mass in the Parish will be held in Glengoole Church on Friday night next, 27th May at 8.00. A very warm welcome to all young people from within the parish or from surrounding parishes who will be doing Public Examinations shortly, together with their families. Your petitions will be included in the Mass. All are invited. It will be followed by refreshments in Glengoole Hall. Volunteers to do readings and prayers are most welcome. Give names to Fr Irwin or Fr. O’Rourke early this week

Year of Mercy Reflection, ‘Comfort, comfort my people, says your God’
Be open to listening to and comforting those who are dealing with grief. Our presence can make a big difference. Action: Lend a listening ear to someone who is going through a tough time this week.

Glengoole, Wednesday from 10.00 to8.00. Gortnahoe Thursday 10.00 to 7.00. Come to spend the hour in adoration.
