Morning Masses
Gortnahoe: each morning except Thursday at 9.30.
Glengoole: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.30.

Feast of the Assumption
Thursday next, 15th August, is the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady, a holy day of obligation. Masses in Glengoole on Wednesday evening at 6.30 and Thursday at 10.00, and in Gortnahoe on Wednesday evening at 7.45 and Thursday at 11.15.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary
Consecration of Ireland to The Immaculate Heart of Mary by the bishops of Ireland takes place in Knock on the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady. There is a bus leaving for Knock on that day. For information on bus details please ring 086 4081792.

Eucharistic Adoration
There will not be Eucharistic Adoration in Gortnahoe Church on Thursday 15th August, Feast of the Assumption.

Peter's Pence Collection
Sincerest thanks to all who contributed to the Peters Pence Collection. If you have overlooked it, please contribute as soon as possible.

Family Mass Meeting
There will be a Family Mass Meeting in Gortnahoe Hall on Monday night at 7.30, to prepare for the first Family Masses after the summer on Sunday 1st September. All members and many new members are invited and are most welcome, to this short very friendly valuable meeting.

Cemetery Masses
Boulick Cemetery on Thursday 15th August at 7.00.
Ballinalacken Cemetery on Friday 16th August at 7.00.

Golden Jubilee
Mass celebrating the Golden Jubilee of Sr. Kathleen McCormack, Poynstown will be in Glengoole Church on next Saturday 17th at 3.00. You all are invited

Lotto
There was no winner of the €5,200 Jackpot. The numbers drawn were 1, 6, 23 & 27. Mary Willies Golf Society

Table Quiz
There will be a fun Table Quiz and Raffle at Prout’s Bar, Gortnahoe on Saturday 17th August at 9 pm. €20 per table with proceeds in aid of Gortnahoe-Glengoole Golden Oldies Photo Book.

The Gathering 2013
As part of The Gathering 2013 Gortnahoe/Glengoole Community are trying to put together a book of old photographs, places and events in the parish. Photos can be dropped to Ryans Shop or the Post Office, both in Gortnahoe. Photos will be copied and returned as soon as possible. Your submissions and support will be much appreciated.
