50th International Eucharistic Congress Ireland
June 10th to 17th 2012

4th National Collection
The national Collection for the Eucharistic Congress is being taken up this week-end. If you have overlooked it, please contribute as soon as possible.

If you consider travelling by coach on Tuesday 12th June for one day as a group from the parish please remember that all advance booking must be done by May 9th. Entry cost is € 30 per person plus the cost of the coach. The coach will only travel if enough people give their names to Fr. O’Rourke before May 8th.

There will be a Congress choirs Seminar in the Marian Hall, Tipperary on Sunday 13th May from 2.30 to 5.00, followed by Evening Prayer at 5.30.

First Communion
First Communion for the children of Gortnahoe School will be in Gortnahoe Church on Saturday next 12th May at 11.00. Come along.

Family Masses and Student Masses
A warm welcome to all who are part of this special Mass today and we wish them good success at their examinations.

Youth Conference
A Southern Catholic Youth Conference will be held in St. Patrick’s College, Thurles on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May. Golden Jubilee
The celebration of the Golden Jubilee of V. Rev. John J. O’Rourke takes place on Monday 4th June. All are invited to a planning meeting for this celebration. The meeting is in Gortnahoe Hall on Tuesday 8th May at 7.30.

Charity Cycle
Charity Cycle in aid of the Heart to Hand Foundation and the NCBI will be held in Gortnahoe on the 13th May. There are 3 routes, 10k, 40k & 100k. For further information please contact Liam at 086 2449384.

Trip to Ennis
Gortnahoe Senior Citizens are going on a trip to Ennis on 7th and 8th August. Cost is € 100.00. Deposit of €20.00 with name to be paid to Ann Stokes before 22nd May. €20 extra if a single room is required.

Employment Skills Course

Cake Sale and Coffee Morning in Resource Centre on Friday 11th May from 11.30 to 1.00. All are most welcome, so please come along.

Cemetery Annual Mass
Good Shepherd Cemetery annual Mass will be on Friday 29th June at 7.30. Clean-up of the cemetery starts on Tuesday 10th May from 7.00 to 9.00. A special invitation to members of families whose relatives are buried there.

Community Games
Athletics evening Wednesday 23rd May in Gortnahoe Community Field . Help running the events would be welcome.
