Priests Collection and the Financial Running of the Parish
The Parish Finance Committee which met briefly last weekend are reviewing the running costs of the parish and the Annual Collections, an Income and Expenditure Account will be published shortly. In relation to the Priests Collection, parishioners will note that there is still approximately €13,000 of a shortfall between the levy imposed by the Archdiocese and the amount actually collected for 2011. In order to discuss the financial affairs of the parish and look for suggestions on how the envelope/finances are organised in the future, a public meeting is being organised for Monday 16th January at 8.30 pm in Gortnahoe Hall. Be ready and prepared to come along to this special meeting.

Eucharistic Congress
International Eucharistic Congress takes place in Dublin from 10th to 17th June. Please pray for the success of this Congress and be ready to be involved as much as possible during that week.

Gospel Study Course: The second part of the Course on St. Matthew will be held in The Pallottine College, Thurles on Thursday evenings 7.30 to 9.00 commencing on 16th February for 7 consecutive weeks. Cost €60. Contact Fr. John Egan at 087 0576169.

Faith and Formation
The first meeting of the Faith and Formation Group in 2012 will be held on Tuesday night at 8.30. You are most welcome to come along to this meeting in Gortnahoe Hall from 8.30 to10.00.

Vehicle Run
Thank you to all who supported the Charity Vehicle Run on St. Stephens Day. This was a huge success and a most enjoyable event for everybody. Total money collected was € 2,700. This will be divided equally between Cancer Research and Heart to Hand Charity.

Drama
Emeralds Camogie Club are delighted to host the highly acclaimed award winning play "The Pitch" on Thursday 26th January in Urlingford Hall. Tickets € 10.00 each are available at Ahern Fuels. Great Raffle prizes, sponsored by Calor Gas. Limited ticket availability.

G.A.A. Lotto
There was no winner of the €5,200 Jackpot on 12th January at Mary Willies. The numbers drawn were 3, 5. 11 and 18.
