Good Wishes
On behalf of Fr O'Rourke and Fr. Walsh we extend our very sincere good wishes for the New Year and throughout the coming year.
Family Mass
Our first Family Mass for 2012 is this weekend in Glengoole on Sunday at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. The Theme of the Mass is 'A Happy New Year'.
Collection for Church Flowers and Decorations
The beautiful flowers and decorations in our churches throughout the year and especially at Christmas invite our admiration. The annual Collection to help meet the costs is being taken up this weekend. Please give generously. If you did not expect this call this weekend please bring your contribution next weekend.
Feast
Friday next, 6th January, the Epiphany is a Holyday of Obligation. Masses will be in Glengoole on Thursday evening at 6.30 and on Friday at 10.00. Masses in Gortnahoe will be on Thursday evening at 7.45 and on Friday at 11.15.
Morning Mass
Glengoole: each morning except Friday at 9.30 Gortnahoe: each morning except Friday at 9.30
First Saturday
Gortnahoe: Devotions of Reparation and Mass at 9.30.
Thanks
Sincerest thanks to all who contributed so generously to the Christmas Collection for the Archbishop and priests of the diocese, active and retired. We really appreciate those who took so seriously our recent appeal for the needed response for these Collections. The appeal goes out to those who are still outstanding in their contributions for 2011. If you have overlooked it, please contribute as soon as possible, either in the Offertory baskets or directly to Fr. O'Rourke or to Fr. Walsh or by post.
Eucharistic Adoration
This week in Glengoole on Wednesday from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm. In Gortnahoe on Thursday from 10.00 am to 7.30 pm where it will be followed by Mass for the Feast of the Epiphany at 7.45.
