Mission Sunday
This is Annual World Mission Sunday, when the Mass and prayers are being offered for the success of the Missions, and the help of all our priests, nuns, brothers and lay people working on the missions.

Preparing for the 2012 International Eucharistic Congress
The Eucharistic Congress Bell will visit Gortnahoe Parish on the afternoon of Wednesday 2nd November, visiting all five villages, Ballynonty at 2.30, Glengoole at 3.15, Ballysloe at 4.00, Grange at 4.45, Boulick cemetery for The Angelus at 6.00 and Gortnahoe at 6.30, with Mass at 7.30. Preparations for the visit will be made at Meeting in Gortnahoe Hall on Tuesday at 8.00. Please comealong.

Masses for the Dead
Please bring along lists of your Dead and your offering next week-end, 29th & 30th October so that they will be included in all the Masses and Prayers during the month of November.

Pallottine College Collection
Pallottine College Collection is being taken up this week-end.

Gortnahoe Community Hall
It is intended that tarmac will be laid at the front of the Hall next Tuesday and Wednesday in preparation for Road markings for clearway to the Hall. We would request patrons using the Hall to co-operate with the contractor. We regret any inconvenience caused.

St. Vincent de Paul Fund Raising Raffle
Your support of this raffle, which will be held in conjunction with Bingo next Saturday night 29th October in Gortnahoe will be most welcome.

Defibilator Meeting
A meeting of everyone trained in the use of the defibilator to come to a very important meeting on Wednesday night 26th October in Gortnahoe Hall at 8.00.

Senior Citizens
Gortnahoe Senior Citizens Club Day will be on Tuesday next 25th October.

Grange Table Quiz
Grange Development Committee will hold a Table Quiz in Hogans, Grange on Friday night next 28th October at 9.30. Your presence and support will be most welcome.

Halloween Table Quiz
A Table Quiz in aid of ‘The Hope Foundation’ will be held in Mary Willies next Friday night October 28th at 9.30. Three local girls, Grainne O’Dwyer, Oldstone, Mags Mockler, Clonoulty and Edel Costigan, Cullohill, students from the Presentation Secondary School, Thurles, are travelling to Calcutta soon. Your support will be appreciated. Table of 4 - €20.

Ballysloe School Table Quiz
Please reserve Friday night 11th November for the monster Fund Raising Table Quiz for Ballysloe School in Hogans, Ballysloe, with great prizes and the Raffle with many prizes. Be there and enjoy the night.

Prayer for Mission Sunday
On this World Mission Sunday, we offer our love, our support and our prayers to all the Christian Communities throughout the world. We ask God to pour out his choicest blessings on this great family gathered in faith. We pray for all missionaries, priests, brothers, nuns and lay people who have devoted their best efforts to answer the call of Jesus to spread the gospel throughout the world. Amen.
