Tweny Fifth Sunday of the Year

Morning Mass
Glengoole: each morning except Friday at 9.30
Gortnahoe: each morning at 9.30.

Faith and Formation Group
The first meeting after the summer will be held on Tuesday night 20th Sept. in Gortnahoe Hall from 8.30 to 10.00. New members are most welcome.

Gortnahoe School
The annual start of the School Year Mass will be in Gortnahoe Church on Wednesday at 10.00. All families are invited.

Church Choir Practice
Glengoole Church Choir will hold a practice in Glengoole Church on Wednesday night next 21st September at 8.00. All singers please come along. New members most welcome.

St. Vincent de Paul
St. Vincent de Paul Meeting will be on Tuesday night at 7.30. All members please come along.

Support of Glengoole Hall
Please support the Table Quiz in aid of the renovation and upgrading of Glengoole Hall which will be at Dolly’s Bar on Friday night 30th September. All support welcome.

Defib Training
The last round of Defib Training will take place in the Community Hall, Gortnahoe on Wednesday night 21st Sept. at 7.00 sharp. Anyone wishing to train, contact Stella at 087 6509625, as places are limited.

The Defib Machine is now in place in a steel cabinet outside Gortnahoe Community Hall. Full operational arrangement will be completed shortly and will be published in the Newsletter and other places throughout the parish.

Stock Take
The Gortnahoe Hall Committee will be doing a full stock take in two weeks time. If you have overlooked returning any item belonging to the Hall, e.g. plates, cups, soup bowls, tables, chairs, etc, please return them as soon as possible. It is vital to keep our stock in order.

G.A.A. Lotto
There was no winner of the € 2,000 Jackpot on 15th September. The numbers drawn were 6, 14, 15, and 24. Lucky Dip winners were Marie Maher, Fennor, Tony Ivors, Patrick’s Gate, Kathleen Neary, Urlingford and Teresa O’Gorman, Boulick. The Sellers Prize winner was Dollys. Next Draw on 22nd September at Mary Willies. Jackpot € 2,200. The Presentation of the €13,600 to Nellie Campion will be at Mary Willies on Thursday night.

Albania Clothes Appeal
This is the final week for donations of bags of clothes to this Appeal. Please leave them at Campions, Gortnahoe during the week.

Gortnahoe-Glengoole Camogie Club
Please support their Annual Church Gate Collection on next week-end, 24th and 25th September.

Gortnahoe Youths F.C.
Due to the darker evenings Soccer training will begin at 6.30 and finish at 7.30 from 23rd September.

Parish Annual Meeting
Sincerest thanks to all who have been providing material for the Parish Annual. Once again it will be a most informative, entertaining and colourful book. A short meeting will be held on Tuesday night at 10.00 in the Parochial House. Appreciate the work involved.

Autumn Night Class
Autumn Night Class in Colaiste Mhuire, Johnstown. Enrolment takes place on Tuesday 20th Sept. in the school from 7.30 to 8.30. Information in the school
