Trocaire
Donations in the parish have now reached € 10,260 for the Famine in Africa. It is a wonderful sign of your generosity. Further donations welcome.
Bingo for Trocaire
A special fund-raiser for Trocaire in aid of the Famine Relief in Africa will be held on Saturday night next, 27th August. The special Bingo will include an extra sheet which will have a Prize of €100 a line, €100 for 2 lines and €300 for the house, plus €1,600 Prize money and Raffle. Your support will be appreciated.
Family Mass
The next monthly Family Mass in Glengoole at 10.00 and Gortnahoe at 11.15 will be on the Sunday after the All Ireland, 11th September.
'Wedding of the Year'
Gortnahoe Wedding of the Year in aid of South Tipperary Hospice will be at Kilcooley House on Saturday next August 27th at 7.00 sharp. A night not to be missed, when Jody Moriarty and Wan Hun Lo tie the knot. Music by Shindig. Invitations, costing €15, are at Gortnahoe Post Office or from Peggy Maher.
National Pilgrimage
National Pilgrimage of the Apostolate of Our Lady of Fatima will be at Holycross Abbey on Sunday August 28th, starting at 2.30, including Rosary Procession, Stations of the Cross, Anointing of the sick and Mass.
Motor Neurone Fund Raiser
A Golf Classic from 29th August to 3rd September will be held in Dundrum House Hotel Golf Club and Benefit Dance on Thursday 1st September. Further information on Church Poster.
Colaiste Mhuire, Johnstown Schools Re-opening
First Years: Fri. 26th Aug. 9.30 to 12.00. 1st, 4th & 5th Years Mon. 29th Aug. From 9.00 to 4.00. Those plus , 6th years & LCA 2 on Tuesday 30th from 9.00 to 4.00
Albanian Appeal
This will be our fourth year to go to Albania to help those in greater need than ourselves. We all know these are hard times, but this year we are appealing for donations of clothes and textiles, books (but no magazines, comics, workbooks or telephone books) and unwanted mobile phones. All donations can be handed in to the container outside Campion's Pumps in Gortnahoe until 23rd September 2011. Your support is much appreciated.
Pilgrimage to Knock
Annual Grandparents Pilgrimage to Knock will be on Sunday 11th September, beginning with Anointing of the Sick at 2.30, followed by Mass.
G.A.A. Lotto
No Winner of the €13,200 Jackpot on the 181th August. The numbers were 8,13,27 and 28. Lucky Dip winners were Kieran Tobin, Coalbrook, Brendan Behan, Commons, Rita Holohan, Foilacamin, Sharon O'Keeffe, c/o Doireann O'Neill. €25 Seller's prize winner was Kieran Tobin. Cashel-Dualla Gymkhana
Cashel-Dualla Gymkhana and Countryside Field Day, including a Tractor Pulling Competition will be in Dualla on Sunday 21st Aug. Starting at 11.30.
Vintage Rally
Clonoulty-Rossmore Vintage Rally in aid of South Tipperary Hospice Movement will be in Clonoulty village on Sunday 28th August, starting at 12.00.
Women's Mini Marathon
Clonmel 10k Women's Mini Marathon organised by South & North Tipp Sports Partnership on Sunday 18th September at 2.00. Online Registration only at www.tippminimarathon.ie or 062 64737, not later than 12th September.
