Trocaire Thanks
Sincerest thanks to all who contributed so generously to the parish Trocaire Fund for the help of those suffering the famine in East Africa. €9,605 has already been lodged from the parish. All further contributions will be most welcome for the poverty stricken.

Knock Pilgrimage
The Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock is taking place this Sunday 7th August. Please remember all who are on the pilgrimage, especially the sick. Many people from the parish are on this pilgrimage.

Family Mass
The Family Masses for the month of August are taking place this Sunday 7th August, in Glengoole at 10.00 and Gortnahoe at 11.15. The Theme is the honouring and praying for the great number of volunteers in the different organisations and groups in the parish. Without the generosity and thoughtfulness of so many people, both young and old, the parish would not be nearly as fulfilling for so many. May this habit of volunteering continue in the parish. We ask you to be willing to lend a hand or organise what is worthwhile for the people of the parish. Join in our Masses and prayers this Sunday.

Camogie
Congratulations to U12 and 15 Camogie teams for their recent successes in their Summer League. Both teams are now through to County Quarter and Semi-Finals. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Also well done to Siobhan Barnaville who played in goal for the Tipp U15 Camogie team last weekend.

Albanian Appeal
This will be our fourth year to go to Albania to help those in greater need than ourselves. We all know these are hard times, but this year we are appealing for donations of clothes and textiles, books (but no magazines, comics, workbooks or telephone books) and unwanted mobile phones. All donations can be handed in to the container outside Campion’s Pumps in Gortnahoe until 23rd September 2011. Your support is much appreciated.
