Gortnahoe: Devotions of Reparation and Mass at 9.30.
Collection for His Holiness
Collection for His Holiness the Pope, Peter’s Pence will be taken up next week-end. Envelopes were distributed at the beginning of the year. Please give generously to the support of His Holiness.
Thanks
Sincerest thanks to all who contributed so generously last weekend and during this week to the Collection to Trocaire for the help of those suffering the famine in East Africa. € 8,830 has already been lodged from the parish. All further contributions will be most welcome for the poverty stricken.
Knock Pilgrimage
The Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Sunday next, 7th August. Pilgrims will be picked up in Ballysloe and Gortnahoe. Charge is €20.00 for adults and €15.00 for children. Please give your names to either sacristan or either priest early this week so that all can be arranged in good time.
Family Mass
The Family Masses for the month of August will be on Sunday next 7th August, in Glengoole at 10.00 and Gortnahoe at 11.15. The Theme is the honouring and praying for the great number of volunteers in the different organisations and groups in the parish. Join in those prayers. A meeting of the Family Mass Committee will be held on Monday night 1st August at 8.00.
Boulick Meeting
All families with relatives buried in Boulick cemetery are invited to a meeting to organise the Annual Mass in Boulick Cemetery in the G.A.A. Club Rooms on Monday night at 9.00. The annual Boulick Mass will be on Monday night 15th August at 7.00.
Gortnahoe Youths FC
Primary School Children enrolment on Friday 12th August in Gortnahoe Hall from 6.30 to 7.30. New members welcome. Training starts on Friday 19th August in Gortnahoe Community Field at 7.00 p.m.
Help for Third Level College Courses
There will be some financial help available for students wishing to pursue Third Level Courses in the coming Academic Year. Please contact 087 1482056 for further information and Application Forms.
G.A.A. Lotto
No Winner of the €12,600 Jackpot on the 28th July. The numbers were 11, 14, 20 and 28. Lucky Dip winners were Jonathan Guilfoyle, Urard, Frances Boyle, Emyvale c/o Centra, Gabriel Lawless, Garryclogh, Miriam Cleary, Crab. €25 Seller’s prize winner was Denise Connors. Next draw 4th August at Hogans, Ballysloe, for €12,800 Jackpot.
Defib Training
Due to the great response the following dates have been arranged for Defib Training in Gortnahoe Community Hall, Tuesday 9th August at 5.30, Wednesday 10th August at 5.30 and Saturday 13th August at 10.00. If one of these dates suits you, please let Ann at Gortnahoe P.O. know, as places are limited. Further dates for training will be arranged later, if necessary.
