EASTER SUNDAY

Wishes
On behalf of Fr. O'Rourke and Fr. Walsh we express our sincerest wishes to all our parishioners and all readers of this newsletter for God's special blessings for Easter and throughout 2011.

Thanks
Sincerest thanks to all who have contributed to the Easter Collection for the archbishop and priests of the diocese. If you have overlooked it, please contribute as soon as possible so that we can meet our essential target.

Morning Masses
Glengoole: each day except Wednesday at 9.30.
Gortnahoe: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9.30.

Family Mass
The monthly Family Mass for May will take place on Sunday next 1st May in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. The intentions are directed especially to the First Communion children. Please make it special

Walk
Gortnahoe N.S. Parents Association are holding a Fancy Dress Sponsored Walk in Kilcooley on Easter Monday at 6.30 sharp. Plenty prizes and you are asked to return all sponsorship Cards to any Parents Council member on Monday so that they can be part of the Raffle. Light refreshments also included.

Fennor Graveyard
Help is required this Tuesday night at 7.00 to carry out our annual clean up of the graveyard after the winter.

Revision Course
An intensive Four Week Revision Course for Leaving Cert Students will be run in Gortnahoe N.S. starting on Monday 9th May from 7.30 to 8.30. The Course is confined to Leaving Cert Higher and Lower Level Maths. Please Text your name and level to 087 1482056 before Sunday 8th May. A minimum donation of € 5 per session. All proceeds going to St. Vincent de Paul.

Soccer News
Glengoole United play Moyglass in the Paddy Purtil Cup final on Easter Sunday at 3.00 in Newhill Park. Your support most appreciated.

Gortnahoe Youth and Development Association sincerely thanks all who supported the Community Field Table Quiz. A wonderful night for all.

Gortnahoe Youths F.C.
Training continues every Friday evening at 7.00 in Gortnahoe Community Field for all 5 to 12 year olds. New players welcome.

Summer Clean Up
It is the time of year again when our villages and countryside should look their best. Closing dates for Tidy Towns and Local Authority competitions are fast approaching. Congratulations to Grange Community for their organised clean up and to farmers who cut their hedgerows and to many householders who do great work cutting grass and maintaining gateways etc. This is a lovely time outdoors for such work and it would be even better if local people took the initiative this week to organise togetherness.

Juvenile G.A.A.
Membership fees for all players are now due. € 20.00 for one child €25 for 2 children and €30 for 3 or more. Committee members will be at training sessions on the next two Saturdays, 30th April & 7th May, to whom you can give your registration Forms and fees. Thanks for your great support.

G.A.A. Lotto
No winner of the € 9,800 on 21st April at Prouts. Winning numbers were 11, 20, 21 and 25. Lucky Dip winners were Louise Cleere, Rathbeg, Leah Bird, Gortnahoe, Darragh Queally, Urlingford & Collette Power c/o Mary Teehan. Next Draw at Hogans, Ballysloe on 28th April for € 10,000.
