Morning Masses
Glengoole: each morning except Thursday at 9.30.
Gortnahoe: each morning at 9.30.

Monthly Family Mass
The parish monthly Family Mass is this week-end, on Sunday 6th March, in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. As we come so close to Lent, the theme of the Mass is "Give a little, Gain a lot".

Silver Jubilee of Ordination as Archbishop
Most Rev. Dr. Clifford will celebrate the Silver Jubilee of his ordination as our archbishop at a special Mass in the Cathedral, Thurles on this Monday night 7th March at 7.00. All our parishioners are invited to participate in that Mass on that night and join in refreshments in St. Patrick's College Thurles afterwards. Please remember him and his work for our archdiocese in your prayers.

Ash Wednesday and Lent
Wednesday next is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. It is a day of fast and abstinence. Mass will be in Glengoole at 9.30 and 7.00 and in Gortnahoe at 9.30 and 8.00. We encourage everyone to make Lent a special time of penance. Choose some penance to do for the period of Lent, add extra prayers to those you say each day, make sure the Trocaire box is collected and is placed in an important place in your home so that it will inspire you to be generous to the support of the many who are starving throughout the world.

Franciscan Missionaries for Africa
One of their sisters will speak at all Masses next week-end. We encourage generosity to their missions in Africa.

Eucharistic Adoration
The devotion of Eucharistic Adoration in all our churches at particular times is being promoted throughout the archdiocese. A special gathering for its promotion will be held in St. Patrick's College, Thurles on Saturday next 12th March from 10.00 to 12.30. Refreshments will be provided, so we ask anybody who is willing to attend to please contact Fr. O'Rourke or Fr. Walsh as soon as possible, so that all can be organised.

Friends of Children of Chernobyl

Drama
Glengoole-Gortnahoe Drama Group will perform "Tom, Dick and Harry" one last time on Friday night next 11th March in Glengoole Hall at 8.00.

Community Games
Well done to all the children who took part in the Art Competition, their drawings are on display in Gortnahoe hall, Good luck to the winners and runners-up who are in the County Finals on 12th March.

Juvenile GAA Club AGM
Juvenile GAA Club AGM will take place this Friday night 12th in Club Rooms at 8.30.

GAA Lotto Draw
There was no winner of the € 8,400 on 3rd March at Prout's. The numbers drawn were 10, 17, 26 & 37. Lucky Dip winners were Therese Maher, Gortnahoe, Gary Peters, Urlingford, Willie Fogarty, Graigue & Sarah & Thomas Coady, Rathbeg. Next Draw 10th March at Hogans, Ballysloe. Jackpot will be € 8,600. Sellers prize winner was David Skehan.

Gortnahoe Bingo
This week's Jackpot is €850, plus the weekly prize money of over € 1,600. We look forward to big support from the parish
