Morning Masses
Glengoole: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.30.
Gortnahoe: each morning except Friday at 9.30.
First Thursday: Glengoole: Mass in Latin at 7.00
First Friday: Glengoole: Confessions 6.30. Mass 7.00
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30. Mass 8.00.
First Saturday: Gortnahoe: Devotions of Reparation and Mass at 9.30
Confirmation
Most Rev. Dr. Clifford will administer the sacrament of Confirmation to the children of the parish in Glengoole Church on Friday next 4th March at 11.00. A warm welcome to all on Friday and we request prayers for the children during the coming week.
Silver Jubilee of Ordination as Archbishop
Most Rev. Dr. Clifford will celebrate the Silver Jubilee of his ordination as our archbishop at a special Mass in the Cathedral, Thurles on Monday night 7th March at 7.00. All our parishioners are invited to participate in that Mass on that night. Please remember him and his work for our archdiocese in your prayers.
Women’s Day of Prayer
The annual service to mark Women’s day of Prayer will be held on Friday night next 4th March in Kilcooley Church at 8.45. You are all invited to join in this time of Prayer.
Monthly Family Mass
The parish monthly Family Mass will be next week-end, on Sunday 6th March, in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. As we come so close to Lent, the theme of the Mass is “Give a little, Gain a lot”.
Meeting
There will be a meeting of the St. Vincent de Paul Conference on Monday at 7.30 in Ballysloe N.S.
Maths Programme
A 6 weeks Maths Programme will be run in Gortnahoe N.S., starting on Monday 7th March from 7.00 to 8.00. This Course is aimed at Secondary pupils from 1st Year to 6th Year, run by a qualified maths teacher. If you feel you could do with an extra bit of help text your name, Age and School year to 087 1482056. Numbers limited. A minimum donation of €5 per session. All proceeds going to the local St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Blood Transfusion Service
Blood Transfusion Service will be holding a Blood Transfusion Clinic in The Dome, Semple Stadium, Thurles on Monday 28th Feb. 2.30 to 5.30. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6.00 to 9.00. Please donate.
Job Seekers Club
Job Seekers Club takes place in Millennium Family Resource Centre, Glengoole on Fridays from 9.30 to 11.00. Help is given if you are out of work, seeking employment or do not know where to look or how to start. Turn up or contact Karen at 052 9157992 or at karen.mfrc@hotmail.com
Church Gate Collection
A Church Gate Collection in aid of the Epilepsy Association will be held next week-end, 5th & 6th March. Please support.
Camogie & Gaelic Football
Registration for Gortnahoe-Glengoole Ladies Juvenile Camogie & Gaelic Football, U10, U12, U14 & U16 on Tuesday 1st March at 8.00 in Gortnahoe Dressing rooms. Registration cost is € 30.00. All existing and new members must attend please. We would ask for any parent interested in lending a hand to come along to registration.
