Second Sunday of Christmas
2nd January 2011

Greetings
Sincerest wishes for all God’s Blessings and a Happy New Year to all parishioners and all who are visiting the parish at this time.

Family Masses
The monthly January Family Mass takes place this Sunday in Glengoole at 10.00 and in Gortnahoe at 11.15. The Theme for the Mass is New Beginnings. Please encourage full attendance.

Morning Masses
Glengoole: Monday Tuesday & Wednesday at 9.30.
Gortnahoe: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 9.30.

Feast Day
Thursday next, 6th January, the Feast of the Epiphany, is a holyday of obligation. Masses: Glengoole Wednesday at 6.30 and Thursday at 10.00. Gortnahoe Wednesday at 7.45 and Thursday at 11.15.

First Friday
Glengoole: Confessions 6.30. Mass 7.00
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30. Mass 8.00.

Flowers
Throughout the year and especially at Christmas, we admire the beautiful flowers in our churches. To cover the cost of the extra flowers, please contribute in the box in the church this week-end.

Gratitude
Sincerest thanks to all who helped in the churches during the past year. To our Parish Team, our sacristans, altar servers, choirs and organists, those who decorated the sanctuaries, those who decorated the cribs, to our Eucharistic ministers, readers, collectors, all who distributed envelopes, our FAS participants, those who formed groups to organise and promote our family Masses, Carol Service and all other involved in the Church and its services.

Sincerest thanks to all who contributed to the Christmas Collection for the Archbishop and priests of the diocese. If you have overlooked it, please contribute as soon as possible.
