Thirtieth Sunday of the Year
24th October 2010

Mission Sunday
Handing on the Faith to a new generation is the greatest privilege God gives to any of us. On this Mission Sunday we pay special tribute to those priests, nuns, brothers and lay people who have devoted their whole life to handing on that faith to people who may have never heard of Jesus. The Annual Collection for the Missions will be taken up on November 14th.

October Devotions
Rosary and Benediction in Glengoole Church this Sunday at 7.00

Morning Masses
Glengoole: each morning at 9.30.
Gortnahoe: each morning at 9.30.

November offerings for our dead
Next week-end marks the beginning of November, the month to pray for our dead. Thirty Masses will be offered in the parish during the month for your dead. Please bring along the lists of your dead to masses next week-end. Envelopes and commemoration sheets were distributed at the beginning of the year.

Pallotine Collection
Please support the Church Gate Collection for the Pallottine Fathers Missions which will be taken up this weekend.

Parish Annual
Should you wish to take advertisement space in this year’s Annual, please email parishannual@gortnahoe.com. All requests must be emailed not later than Monday 25th October.

Blood Donor Clinic
Blood Donor Clinic will be in The Dome, Semple Stadium, Thurles, on Wednesday 27th 2.30 to 5.30. and on Thursday 28th, Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd from 6.00 to 9.00. Your donation of blood is your greatest gift to a sick person.

Crafty Classes
A six week course of craft Classes will begin in Gortnahoe Hall on Thursday 28th November. Cross Stitching Class at 7.00. Knitting Class and Card Making Class at 7.30. All are welcome.

Sponsored Walk
Please support the sponsored Walk on Sunday 24th October, from Urlingford Primary School at 2.00. All proceeds in aid of Zambia Mission

Gortnahoe Senior Citizens
No Club Day next Tuesday 26th October.

GAA Lotto Draw Results
There was no winner of the €5,000 Jackpot on the 21st October. Numbers drawn were 13, 15, 19 and 20 . Lucky Dip winners were Josephine Hogan, Grange, Denise Stokes, The Commons, Shane McCarthy, Gurteen & Enda O’Donoghue, Glengoole. Next Draw at Hogans, Grange on Thursday 28tht October. Jackpot €5,200. Sellers Prize Siobhan McMorran. Thank you for your continued support.

Table Quiz
Slieveardagh Athletic Club will hold a Table Quiz in Hogans, Ballysloe on Friday 5th November at 9.30. Table of 4 - € 20.00. Please support.
