Locking of Gortnahoe Church Doors
We find that sometimes entry to Gortnahoe Church is for more than saying prayers or lighting candles, so in future, outside of Mass times, the only door left unlocked will be the side door nearest the village. We ask everyone to please be vigilant and prayerful.
St Vincent de Paul
Meeting of St Vincent de Paul Conference in Ballysloe School on Tuesday at 7.30. Please support their annual Raffle. Draw for prizewinners will be held at Gortnahoe Bingo on Saturday night next 23rd October at 8.30.
Pallotine Collection
Please support the Church Gate Collection for the Pallotine Fathers Missions which will be taken up next weekend.
Parish Annual
Should you wish to take advertisement space in this year’s Annual, please email parishannual@gortnahoe.com. We will reply to you with a schedule of prices. All requests must be emailed not later than Monday 18th October.
Retirement Mass
You are invited to the Retirement Mass for Kathleen Britton, teacher at Glengoole School, which will be held at the school on Thursday 21st October at 7 pm. All are very welcome to attend.
Grange Badminton Club
Registration night will take place on Saturday 23rd Oct. In Hogan’s Bar, Grange. Everyone interested in joining is more than welcome. Membership is Adults €55. Children €30, to be paid on the night.
Best Wishes
Our best wishes go the our Intermediate Hurling team, who are playing in the County Final against Borrisokane in Templemore on this Sunday 17th October at 1.00. This is the first time since 1988 to be in the Final.
Whist Drive
Please support a Whist Drive in aid of the Albanian Project at Pouldine School on Tuesday 19th Oct. at 8.30. Admission €7.
Sponsored Walk
Please support a sponsored Walk on Sunday 24th October, from Urlingford Primary School at 2.00. All proceeds in aid of Zambian Immersion Project. Local C.B.S. boys Paul Bowden, Cathal Walsh & James Tobin will bring all proceeds to Africa in April. Registration fee is €10.
Gortnahoe Senior Citizens
Members going to Ballingarry on Thursday 21st October please give your names Post Office or any Committee member as soon as possible as transport has to be arranged.
GAA Lotto Draw Results
There was no winner of the €4,800 Jackpot on the 14th October. Numbers drawn were 9, 20, 21 and 27 . Lucky Dip winners were Mary Teehan, Grange, Orla Cahill, Ballysloe, Joe O’Brien, Urlingford, Eileen Nolan, Johnstown. Sellers Prize Shane McGrath Next Draw at Buddys, Glengoole on Thursday 21st October. Jackpot €5,000. Thanks for support.
Gortnahoe Youths F.C.
Gortnahoe Youths F.C. under-10 match in Gortnahoe Community Field on Sunday at 10.30 against Clonmel Town. Training will switch to Saturday mornings for all from 10 to 11.00. from Saturday next 23rd October. New members welcome
