Mission Sunday
This week-end is a time of special prayer for the Missions. The annual Collection for the Missions will be taken up on 18th November.

Parish Annual
The Parish Annual is almost ready for going to print. These are the final few days when we can guarantee inclusion in this year’s Annual. We ask all organisations to hand in their reports immediately. We welcome all articles, photographs and items to the editorial board or the priests.

November Masses
Please remember to bring along the lists of your dead next week-end, so that they will be included in the Masses for the Dead during November. Extra envelopes are at the end of the church.

Gortnahoe Senior Citizens
On Tuesday 30th October the Club will travel to Arboretum at Leighlinbridge, leaving the Hall at 1.30. The charge is € 12.00 for the trip & evening tea. Please leave your names at the Post Office in good time.

Church Fund Raising
The inside of the Church is near completion. As we have come to the end of our second year of fund-raising, we make a special appeal to any parishioner who had pledged to pay, to make their contribution. The Finance Committee is very pleased with the response so far, particularly homes who did not make an original pledge, but have now made contributions. The parish will be proud of the beautiful church when completed.

Raffle
Please support the Annual Raffle in aid of the St. Vincent de Paul Society which takes place on Saturday night next 20th October.

Bingo
This Saturday night is the Anniversary Bingo, with €2,000 in prizes commencing at 8.30. Your support will be appreciated.

Gortnahoe Community Hall A.G.M.
The Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 22nd October at 9.00 sharp. As the Hall is such a vital part of community life in Gortnahoe, we hope every house and organisation will be represented at the A.G.M.

Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of Gortnahoe Development Association will be held in Gortnahoe Hall on Tuesday 23rd October at 9.00. John Fahey will attend. Give your support to the development of the village by attending.

Collection
Support the annual Collection for Gortnahoe-Glengoole Juvenile G.A.A. Club, which will be taken up next week-end.

G.A.A.
The Club AGM will be held on Friday 9th November in Glengoole Hall at 8.30. Nominations for Officers closes on 2nd November.

Counselling Service
Counselling Service for adults over 18 years is available at Glengoole MFRC. Sessions of 1 hour weekly from Monday to Thursday between 6.00 and 9.00. Charge is €10.00 per session. Information from Fidelma Fitzgerald at 052 57992.
