Collection
The October Collection for the Archbishop and priests of the diocese will be taken up next week-end. We ask you to please contribute what you are asked. Envelopes were distributed at the beginning of the year. We ask the usual collectors to kindly attend.

Darfur
Sincerest thanks to contributors to the Trocaire Collection for Darfur last week-end. €1,305 has been contributed to Trocaire. Donations still welcome

Meeting
There will be a meeting of the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Ballysloe School on Tuesday night at 7.30.

Drama
A further meeting of Gortnahoe-Glengoole Drama Group will be held in Glengoole Hall on Monday night next to choose a play for this year. A warm welcome to more people interested in drama and acting.

Classes
Connor Looney, head chef of Niamh’s Restaurant, Clonmel will conduct 8 weeks of cookery classes in Glengoole Resource Centre starting on Wednesday 3rd October from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m.. Contact Mary at 052 57992. Limited places. €100 for course. €50 secures a place.

Cura
Volunteers needed for Cura, Thurles. Information day on Monday 1st Oct. from 2.00 to 4.00 and 7.00 to 9.00 in Thurles Cura Centre (over Sheppards Opticians, 20A Liberty Square). Phone 0504 26226. All are welcome.

Course
A free cookery Course, offering Failte Ireland certification, for ten weeks, two days a week from 10.00 to 3.00 between October and December will be run at Glengoole Resource Centre. Places are limited. Further information from Fidelma or Michelle at 052 57992.

G.A.A. Race Night
The Club will hold a Race Night in Hogans, Ballysloe on Saturday night 6th October. If you wish to nominate a horse, trainer or jockey at the price of € 10.00, please contact any committee member or player.
