Catholic Schools Week 2025
Sunday, Jan 19th – Saturday, Jan 25th. The Theme “Alive in Christ!” from ‘Christus Vivit’ by Pope Francis, where he says:
“Christ is alive! He is our hope, and in a wonderful way he brings youth to our world, and everything he touches becomes young, new, full of life.
The very first words, then, that I would like to say to every young Christian are these: Christ is alive and he wants you to be alive!”
The children in our Catholic schools will explore what it means to live life to the full in Christ as well as mediate on hope and the true purpose and meaning of human life.
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity January 18th–25th.
This year of 2025, in addition to being a Jubilee Year based on the theme ‘Pilgrims of Hope’, is also the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of the Church, the Council of Nicaea (325). That Council gave us the Nicene Creed which we profess every Sunday. The theme this year is “Do you believe this?”, based on the Gospel of John 11:17-27 and Martha’s confession of faith to Jesus.
