Mass for the deceased will take place on Thursday, 25th July: Fennor Cemetery: and Thursday, 15th August: Boulick Cemetery. Please inform family and relations living away from the parish of the dates.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel
A vigil in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will be held in Bóthar na Naomh Church on Tuesday, July 16th with Rosary from 6.15pm followed by Mass at 7pm and Holy Hour from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Led by Fr. Damien Polly O.P. All are welcome.
Upcoming Pilgrimages to Knock Shrine
- Sunday, July 21st: Pioneer Pilgrimage.
- Sunday, July 28th: Pilgrimage for World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly. In addition to a candle lighting during Holy Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Knock, a candle will be lit at the top of our Holy Mountain, Croagh Patrick on Reek Sunday. We hope that, on that day, candles honouring Grandparents and the Elderly will also be lit in homes everywhere, shining the light on all they have done and continue to do in our families and our Church.
- Sunday, August 4th: Annual Diocesan (Cashel & Emly) Pilgrimage Day, led by Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly. Pilgrimage programme - Rosary at 2pm, Anointing of the Sick at 2.30pm, Concelebrated Mass at 3pm, Eucharistic Blessing, Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary Procession to the Shrine and Blessing of Religious Objects. 40 Hours Eucharistic Adoration
40 Hours Eucharistic Adoration in the Cathedral on Friday July 26th at 7.00pm with Mass and Benediction, concluding with Mass on Sunday July 28th at 11.00am. World day for Grandparents and Elderly - Sunday, July 28th
This Day was established by Pope Francis in 2021 in recognition of Grandparents and the Elderly for their role and vocation in passing on their faith to the next generation. The theme for this year is: “Do not cast me off in my old age” (Psalm 71:9).

125th Anniversary Fennor Creamery
Fennor Creamery will celebrate the 125th Anniversary of its foundation this year. A booklet to commemorate the event will be published later in the year. We would appreciate any photos, newspaper articles or stories in relation to Fennor, Ballysloe and Grange creameries. All photos and articles will be returned to the owners.

Annual Famine 1848 Walk
Martin Maher, Chairman, Ballingarry 1848 committee, will lead the 18th annual Famine 1848 Walk on Sat. 27 July at 3pm starting at the National Flag monument in The Commons and proceeding to Famine Warhouse 1848, the state national heritage site. This year's Walk will celebrate Ballingarry's new Famine Rising 1848 murals. All are welcome.
