A general meeting will be held in Gortnahoe Hall on Wednesday, 8th May at 8.00 p.m. with a view to forming a new Senior Citizens' Committee going forward. As the existing committee has retired it would be a pity not to continue the good work they have done throughout the years. It would be great to see a good attendance on the night.
Sacristan Position, Glengoole Church
As was announced previously and printed on the newsletter, no-one has either applied for the position of sacristan in Glengoole Church or volunteered to take on the position with two or more others on both a voluntary & rota basis. If there are no further developments in this regard, then from Sunday, May 19th, there will be no sacristan in Glengoole Church and the Church will only be open for Masses on Wednesday and Friday mornings and Saturday evenings until an automatic locking system is put in place.
Sincere thanks to the one person who has volunteered to clean the Church on a weekly basis. It would be very much appreciated if two or three others could also volunteer, on a rota basis, to help lighten the burden for “Many hands make light work!”
