Very Rev Nicholas James Irwin, PP
During this past week our parish priest, Very Rev. Nicholas J. Irwin, sadly, after an illness bravely borne, passed to his eternal reward. We thank him for his dedicated service to the Archdiocese of Cashel & Emly over the past forty-one years since his ordination to the priesthood in 1982. We convey our condolences to his mother and family, Archbishop Kieran, the Diocesan Office Staff where he served as Diocesan Secretary and his fellow priests of the Archdiocese. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
PRAYER said at the funeral of Fr Jim Irwin
O Lord, support us all the day long
until the shadows lengthen and the evening comes
And the busy world is hushed,
and the fever of life is over and our work is done
Then, Lord, in your mercy, grant us a safe lodging,
a holy rest and peace at last.
