From next week (4th February), Saturday evening Mass will begin at 6.00 pm.

Feast of St Blaise
On Friday 3rd Feb Candles for church use and for use in the home will be blessed. Donations of/for Candles will be gratefully received. The blessing of St Blaise will be administered during Mass.

Collection Bags
We ask that the collection bag be passed around at Wednesday and Friday evenings Masses, as some people attend those Masses instead of at the weekend.

Eucharistic Adoration
Glengoole on Wednesdays 10am to 2pm
Gortnahoe on Thursdays 11am – 1pm

Holy Communion at Home
If anyone is housebound and would like to receive Holy Communion – we can organise to have it brought to you safely.

Help avoid the spread of Covid
Due to the rise in Covid numbers we recommend: (a) the wearing of Face Coverings when attending Mass; (b) use of Hand Sanitiser & (c) the reception of Holy Communion on the hands only.

Parish Pastoral Team
Parish Pastoral Team meeting in Glengoole Hall at 8pm on Wednesday evening 1st Feb.

Millennium Family Resource Centre
ALONE's Support Coordinator Catherine Power will be visiting the Millennium Family Resource Centre on Wed. 1st Feb from 1.30pm ­­– 3.00pm to talk through their various services. ALONE is a national organisation that enables older people to age safely at home. They provide Support Coordination, Assistive Technology and Befriending Services.

Catholic Schools Week 2023
Catholic Schools Week 2023 will be celebrated in schools and parishes across Ireland from Sunday 22nd – Sunday 29th January. Theme is ‘Walking Together in Faith & Love’.

Gortnahoe Glengoole Defib group ceased all operations
Gortnahoe Glengoole Defib group regret to inform our parishioners that our group is no longer viable and has ceased all operations with immediate effect. The contact numbers are no longer in service. In case of emergency, or should you require assistance, please dial 999 or 112. We thank all who supported us over our 13 years of service to the community.

Millennium Family Resource Centre
Chiropodist, Deirdre Moore will attend The Millennium Family Resource Centre, Glengoole, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, E41 A065, on Monday the 30th January 2023.

Split the Pot
Tuesday Bridge - Split the Pot will be in support of the purchase of card tables for the Bridge club which is been played in the Gortnahoe Hall each Tuesday night, If you would like to join the bridge club contact 089 4349106. Split the Pot envelopes are available at the usual outlets. The draw takes place each Sunday at 12pm in Gortnahoe Hall.

Every Step Counts Challenge
Every Step Counts Challenge continues on Wednesday 7 – 8pm in GAA grounds to walk the combined 4,000km trip around Ireland. Register on MyLife app or contact Paula or Olivia McCormack.

Gortnahoe Bingo
Gortnahoe Bingo will recommence in Gortnahoe Hall on Saturday 28th January at 7.00pm with doors opening at 6.00pm and will continue each Saturday night at the same time.  Top prize money on offer. Parish support would be appreciated.

Moyne Drama Group
Moyne Drama Group presents 'The Hen Night Epiphany' by Jimmy Murphy in Moyne Community Centre, Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th February at 8.30pm.  Admission €10.  Opening night fundraiser for Mo Chara Animal Rescue.  Please note this play is not suitable for children.
