Week of Prayer for Christian Unity begins on Wednesday 18 January and continues until 25 January 2023. The theme this year is “Belonging: Praying for Unity amidst Injustice”. As we join with other Christians around the world for the Week of Prayer, we pray that our hearts will be open to see and hear the many ways in which racism continues to destroy lives, and to discern the steps we can take as individuals and communities to heal the hurts and build a better future for everyone.

God, Creator and Redeemer of all things,
teach us to look inward to be grounded in your loving Spirit,
so that we may go outward in wisdom and courage
to always choose the path of love and justice.
This we pray in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
