Collection for the Pope (Peters Pence)
Collection is being taken up this week-end, 2nd & 3rd August. Please be generous in your support of this Annual Collection for the Pope and the Vatican. Envelopes were distributed at the beginning of the year.

Knock Pilgrimage
Please remember all who are travelling on our annual diocesan pilgrimage to Knock this Sunday, especially all the sick.

Boulick Cemetery
With our Annual Mass approaching on August 15th at 7.00, the general clean up and decoration are necessary. You are all invited to come equipped to Boulick Cemetery this Monday 4th August at 7.00 p.m.

Senior Citizens Outing
Gortnahoe Senior Citizens Outing takes place on 5th & 6th August. Bus leaving Hall on Tuesday 5th at 9.00 am.

Viewing Platform Launch
Grange Tower Viewing Platform Launch is being launched this Saturday 2nd August at 7.00.This is always a beautiful walk and enjoy the scenery from the top of the Tower which is now full of information and directions.

Text Alert Committee Meeting
Community Text Alert Committee Meeting in Glengoole Hall on Thursday 7th August at 9.00 sharp. All members come along.

There was no winner of the €15,000 Jackpot. Numbers drawn were 17, 18, 24 & 30. Lucky Dip winners were Mick Looby, Urlingford, Gerry Cahill, Ballysloe, Sean Hogan, Johnstown, Mary Norton, Castle Rd., Kilkenny. €15 Sellers Prize was Helen Heffernan, Glengoole, Next Draw on 7th August is a Hogans, Ballysloe. Jackpot €15,200.

Belgium men’s choir
‘Viri Galilaei’, a men’s choir from Belgium will sing at the 11.00 Mass in the Cathedral, Thurles on Friday 15th August for the Solemnity of the Assumption of Our Lady. After Mass they will continue to sing hymns and chant pieces for a period of prayer and reflection. All are welcome.

Youth 2000 Summer Festival takes
Youth 2000 Summer Festival takes place at The Cistercian College, Roscrea from Thursday 14th August to Sunday 17th August for young people aged 16 to 35, an occasion not to be missed to experience the Catholic Faith and meet many new people. Information from www.youth2000.ie or 01 6753690.

Prayer for the Sick
Jesus, our friend, our healer and divine physician, I place into your hands all those who carry the cross of illness. Jesus, under your own cross you felt its weight and worry, its pain and suffering. Please help all those who are sick, send your Holy Spirit with healing and strength, with hope and consolation. Be with all who are feeling weak at this time, be close to their families and all those who care for them. Amen.
