St. Vincent de Paul Society Meeting in Ballysloe School on Monday night 23rd June at 7.30. All members please attend.
Fennor Graveyard
Help is required next Tuesday night, 24th June at 7.00 to make final preparations for the Graveyard Mass on 24th July 2014.
Sponsored Walk
A Sponsored Walk will take place in Grange on Friday 25th July to raise funds for the development of the site beside the Church in Gortnahoe. Sponsorship Cards are available.

Defibrillator Refresher Course
Defibrillator Refresher Course takes place in Gortnahoe Playschool on Tuesday evening Come any time from 7.00 to 9.00.
Blood Transfusion Service
Blood Transfusion Service will be in The Dome, Thurles on Monday from 2.00 to 5.00 & on Tues. Wed. & Thurs from 6.00 to 9.00. Come & donate.
Special Olympics
Congratulations to Edel Pollard, Coole who was a member of the Munster Basketball Team who won silver medals at the recent Special Olympics.
Lotto results
There was no winner of the € 13,800 last week; The numbers drawn were 3, 10, 26 and 27. Lucky Dip winners were Joe Jacob, c/o Jimmy Meighan, Orla Doyle, Callan, Marian Teehan, Grange, Martin Taylor c/o Michael Cahill. €25.00 winner was Jerry Cahill, Ballysloe. Next Draw 26th June at Prouts. .. Jackpot is €14,000.00.
Community Playgroup
Gortnahoe Community Playgroup will close on Wed. 25th June for the holidays. Thanks to all children, parents and people of the parish for their support. Anyone wishing to enrol their child for September can contact Stella at 087 6509625. We cater for children aged 2 yrs & 10 months upwards.
Parents Network
Ballysloe Parents Network thank the Board of Management & teachers for their continued support. The school will close on Thursday 26th June, with Mass at 10.15, followed by the raising of the Green Flag and refreshments. Please remember what Derval has asked in relation to refreshments.
GG Challenge 2014
GG Challenge 2014 will be held on Sun. 29th June, outside Gortnahoe Hall. 100k, 60, & 15k family cycle, walk the Grange Loop, win €500 on locally themed Treasure Hunt. A great Family Day. Proceeds towards Gortnahoe Playgroup, St. Vincent de Paul and Grange Badminton. Special guests on the day are Shane Long & Sr, Patricia. Wouldn’t a special tidying of the whole village add wonderfully to the occasion, so all out this week please.
Clothes recycling Collection
Glengoole United FC will hold a Clothes recycling Collection in Glengoole Hall on Saturday 5th July. All donations of clean clothes and all other items as listed in previous week’s Newsletter appreciated. Hall open on Friday night 6.00 to 8.00 and Saturday 10.00 to 1.00 for collection.
Fitness Challenge on Sunday 6th July
Glengoole United Fitness Challenge on Sunday 6th July at 12.00. Entry Fee €20.00. (includes T-Shirt). 21k Cycle – Run – Cycle. All information available on Glengoole United Facebook Page.
