50th International Eucharistic Congress
The 50th International Eucharistic Congress will take place in Dublin from 10th to 17th June this year. The daily celebration of the Eucharist will be the heart of the Congress and the wider programme will consist of keynote addresses, many workshops and cultural events in the R.D.S,, Ballsbridge. Brochures detailing information will be distributed later this month.

The Final Mass (Statio Orbis) will take place in Croke Park on Sunday 17th June. The capacity will be limited to 80,000 people. A limited number of tickets are being made available to each diocese for distribution; Cashel and Emly has been allocated 550 tickets. These are in turn allocated to the parishes of the diocese on a pro rata basis. Gortnahoe and Glengoole Parish has been allocated 12 tickets. Anyone wishing to attend the celebration in Croke Park must apply for a ticket, using an application form supplied by the priests of the parish. These forms must be returned to the Diocesan Office for processing by Friday March 9th. This is the first allocation of tickets and a second may be made after Easter.

Glengoole: Each morning at 9.30

Lent
Wednesday next is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. Ashes will be blessed and distributed at the Masses in Glengoole at 9.30 and 7.00 and in Gortnahoe at the Masses at 9.30 and 8.00. Make your Lent special.

Trocaire envelopes are available at the end of the Churches. Make sure each family brings an envelope with the Collection Box home with them after this mass. Your generous contributions will make a huge difference to the starving people of the world, especially the starving of Uganda this year.

St. Vincent de Paul
St. Vincent de Paul Meeting will be in Ballysloe School on Tuesday night next, 21st February at 7.30.

Garden of Remembrance
Garden of Remembrance Meeting on Tuesday night in Ballynonty Community House at 8.00. All come along.

G.A.A. Lotto
There was no winner of the €6,000 Jackpot on 16th February at Hogans, Grange. The numbers drawn were 10, 25, 26 and 29. Lucky dip winners were Teresa O'Gorman, Boulick, Brian Quinlan, Grange, Tony Ivors Sen. Patrick's Gate, Sean Fogarty, Gortnahoe. €25 Sellers Prize winner was Keith Corbett. Next Draw 23rd Feb. for €6,200 in Dollys, Glengoole.

Maths Classes
Maths Classes begin on Monday 20th Feb. in Gortnahoe Hall. Junior Cert Students please attend at 7.30. and Leaving Cert Pupils please attend at 8.15. Bring Text Book, Copy Book & Calculator with you. Registration will take place at the beginning of each class.

Gortnahoe Parents Association
Please support their Cake Sale in Gortnahoe Hall this Sunday. Leave buns etc after 10.30. All donations will go towards School Book Rental Scheme.

Registration night
Juvenile Camogie/Football Club will hold Registration night for U12 to U16 on Friday 24th Feb. in Club Rooms from 8.00 to 9.00. Cost is €20 for first member and €15 for second. All existing and new members welcome.

Parish Prayer Book
Gortnahoe-Glengoole Parish Prayer Book can be purchased in our churches and in Gortnahoe Post office. It is a beautiful book with prayers to suit many situations and the Stations of the Cross. Make sure you get yours for this Lenten season and also for Eucharistic Adoration. Cost €2.
