Fourth Sunday of the Year
30th January 2011

Catholic Schools Week
To mark this week there will be Masses attended by all pupils on Tuesday in Glengoole at 9.30 and Gortnahoe at 10.00. Come along.

Collection
The Annual Collection for our sacristans in being taken up this week-end. If you have overlooked it, please contribute as soon as possible.

Morning Masses
Glengoole: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday at 9.30.
Gortnahoe: each morning except Friday at 9.30.

Family Mass
The monthly Family Mass for February will be next Sunday 6th in Glengoole at 10.00 and Gortnahoe at 11.15. Theme is ‘Celebrating Love’

First Thursday: Glengoole; Mass in Latin at 7.00.
First Friday: Glengoole; Confessions 6.30. Mass 7.00.
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.30, Mass 8.00.
First Saturday: Gortnahoe; Devotions of Reparation and Mass at 9.30

Feasts
1st February; Feast of St. Brigid & blessing of Brigid’s Cross
2nd February: Candlemas Day. Candles for the Churches will be blessed at Masses. Contributions of candles or donations for candles most welcome.
3rd February: Feast of St. Blaise and blessing of throats at Masses.

Ceremonies of Light
All children who will receive Confirmation this year will take part in special Ceremonies of Light this week, in Glengoole Church on Tuesday night at 8.00 and in Gortnahoe Church on Wednesday night at 7.30. Everyone is invited to come along.

Meeting
There will be a meeting of the St. Vincent de Paul Conference in Ballysloe School on Tuesday night 1st February at 7.30.

Community Games
A meeting to select a committee to organise Community Games will be held in Gortnahoe Hall on Tuesday 1st February at 9.00.

Classes
The Payroll Computer Classes will commence this Tuesday night 1st February at 7.45 in Gortnahoe Hall. There are vacancies for four people on the Course.

Thanks

Mary Willies Golf Society
First Outing in Rathdowney on 19th March.

Gortnahoe Youths F.C.
Training continues every Saturday morning for Primary school children at 10.00 in Gortnahoe Community Field.
Registration for the Tottenham Hotspurs Summer Roadshow will take place on Saturday 5th February between 11.00 and 12.00 in Gortnahoe Hall. Enquiries to Michael Lyons, 086 8167936.

G.A.A. Lotto Draw results
There was no winner of the €7,600 Jackpot on the 27th January. Numbers drawn were 3 15, 22 and 25. Lucky Dip winners were John Meighan, Foilacamin, George McCarthy, Gurteen, Michael Bartley, Graigue and Enda O’Donoghue c/o Buddys . Next Draw at Hogans, Grange on 3rd February. Jackpot € 7,800.
