Gortnahoe: each morning except Friday at 9.30.
Change of Mass Times from Beginning in September
Masses in Glengoole are on Saturday at 8.00 and Sunday at 9.30 and 11.00.
Masses in Gortnahoe are on Saturday at 7.00 and Sunday at 11.00.
Confessions
First Thursday: Glengoole Confessions 6.30 Mass 7.00.
First Friday: Glengoole: Confessions 6.30, Mass 7.00.
Gortnahoe: Confessions 7.00. Mass 7.30.
Schools Reopen
Gortnahoe and Ballysloe Schools re-open on Monday 3rd September.
Scoil Ruain, Killenaule

Gortnahoe Community Play Group
Gortnahoe Community Play Group re-opens on Monday 10th September 9.30 to 12.00. Children 2 years & 10 months and upwards are welcome.

Church Restoration Fund
The final date for the two year target of Fund Raising for Gortnahoe Church was extended to August 31st. The special call now goes out to all parishioners to ensure that the Fund is given full support.
Mayoral Visit
On Thursday 27th September Greg Nickels, Mayor of Seattle, U.S.A., his wife and family will visit Gortnahoe. His ancestors James Ryan and Mary Carey came from Thurles to live in Gortnahoe in 1822 and members of their family were born here. A meeting to prepare for the visit will be held in Gortnahoe Hall on Monday night 3rd Sept. at 9.00. Everyone is invited.

Buster Draw
The Buster Draw on the Irish Greyhound Derby takes place on Sept. 8th. Special showing and draw at Hogans, Ballysloe. Be sure to be on time for the race and participate in the Draw and the extra draw on tickets bought. Proceeds go to pay for the new F.A.S. van. A few tickets at € 10 each are still available from Fr. O’Keeffe or Eamon Corbett. Give yourself the chance to win € 500.00. as well as supporting the great work of F.A.S in the parish.

Harvest Thanksgiving Prayer
Heavenly Father, maker of heaven and earth, we bless you and give you glory. We thank you for our harvest crops, recent good weather and our work during this season. They are the source of food and nourishment for people and animals. We thank you for all our gifts and help us to be willing to share our goods and talents with others, especially the poor. Amen.
