Mass for Grandparents' Day
Glengoole N.S. children will attend mass at 9.30am in Glengoole Church on Wednesday 24th January for Grandparents' Day, with refreshments afterwards in the school.  All grandparents and families are invited to celebrate this wonderful day.

Eucharistic Adoration
Glengoole on Wednesdays 10am to 2pm
Gortnahoe on Thursdays 10am to 1pm
We invite you to come and sit awhile in silent prayer.

The Rosary
The Roseary will be recited before Mass in Glengoole every Saturday evening.

Visits to the Sick and Housebound       
Please give names to Fr Walton.

Holy Communion at Home
If anyone is housebound and would like to receive Holy Communion – we can organise to have it brought to you safely.

Monthly Family Mass
The next Family Mass will take place in both churches on the first weekend of February (3rd/4th). As usual, all would be very welcome to join the choir, with a practice half an hour before each mass.

Altar Servers
A recruitment drive to re-introduce Altar-servers for both churches took place in the 3 parish schools during the past week.  Any Primary school pupils who attend a school outside of the parish and who wish to serve in either church are asked to contact Fr. Walton after Mass or at his house during the coming week.

January 400 Club Draw
January 400 Club Draw takes place on Mon, 22nd January in Gortnahoe Hall at 7.30pm.

Parochial House 
An information meeting regarding the Parochial House will take place this Monday, 22nd January in Gortnahoe Hall at 8.15pm.

Catholic Schools Week – 21st to 27th January
The Theme for this year is: “Catholic Schools, Communities of Service”. This week we celebrate and recognize the unique contribution our schools make at the service of our pupils, our communities and our Church. Every Catholic School is called to be a community that serves, inviting students to use their gifts and talents at the service of others. In our schools, we model love, kindness and care towards ourselves, others, God and creation and in this way our schools are communities of service. 

Table Quiz in in Presentation Secondary School, Ballingarry
Table Quiz on Thursday 25th January at 7pm in Presentation Secondary School, Ballingarry to raise funds for sporting facilities and a lunchtime games club.

Information Evening
Energy Saving Information Evening on Tuesday 30th January, 7.30 – 8.30pm in the Millenium Family Resource Centre. Free workshop on reducing your home energy bills.

Clothes Collection in Ballysloe school
Clothes Collection on Wednesday 31st January in Ballysloe school, fundraising for the school. Please leave all donations of clothes into the school prior to the 31st.

Training Course for Eucharistic Ministers
A course for Eucharistic Ministers for the 4 parishes within the Group Pastoral area will take place on Tuesday, 27th February in Lámh Cúnta, Bothar-na-Naomh, Thurles from 7.30-9.00pm.  Fr. Pat Burns and the Pastoral Office will be facilitating the course.  Please take note of this date.  

Bingo in Gortnahoe Hall
Gortnahoe Bingo in Gortnahoe Hall continues this Saturday at 4pm, doors open at 3pm and will continue each Saturday evening at the same time. Over €2,660 in prize money including a special €500 game. We look forward to your support.

Split the Pot
Split the Pot Envelopes available at usual outlets. Draw Sunday at 12pm in Gortnahoe Hall.
