Installation of Fr. Walton as our new Parish Priest
Mass will be celebrated in Gortnahoe Church on Friday 6th Oct at 7pm with refreshments afterwards in the hall. All are welcome.

Family Masses 7th and 8th October
The theme is Thanksgiving. As usual there will be a music practice from half an hour before the start of each mass, and we warmly welcome anyone who would like to join us singing.

Eucharistic Adoration
Glengoole on Wednesdays 10am to 2pm
Gortnahoe on Thursdays 11am to 1pm

Please give names to Fr Walton.

Holy Communion at Home
If anyone is housebound and would like to receive Holy Communion – we can organise to have it brought to you safely.

The Rosary
The Rosary will be recited before Mass in Glengoole on Saturday evenings.

Sunday Life Religious Programme on Tipp FM
Sunday Matters Religious Programme on Tipp FM every Sunday from 7am to 8am.

St Vincent de Paul
There will be some Financial help available for students wishing to pursue Third Level Courses in the coming Academic Year. Please contact 061 317327 or any member of local St Vincent de Paul Society for further information and Application Forms. Proof of Registration from College will be necessary before Applications can be processed and Accommodation Costs should also be included.

Old School House
The Old School in Gortnahoe stood on the site where the Prayer Garden is now beside the Church. It is intended to record the history of the School. If anyone has photographs or paper clippings of the Old School in Gortnahoe, could they forward them to Richard Dunne, Graigue, phone 086 607 5281. All contributions will be copied and returned.

Community Group meeting
Glengoole Community Group meeting on Wednesday 4th Oct at 7.30pm in Glengoole Hall.
 
Community Café Volunteers
Glengoole Community Café – volunteers are needed to start this provisionally one morning per week as a space for people to meet.

The Priests in Concert
Thurles Parish Pastoral Council apologize for the disappointment and any inconvenience caused by the cancellation of “The Priests” Concert last Friday, Sept. 29th. The cancellation was due to the illness of one of the artists. Refunds are available through the Parish Office, Thurles 0504 22229.

Split the Pot
Split the Pot Envelopes available at usual outlets. Draw Sunday at 12pm in Gortnahoe Hall.

Bingo continues in Gortnahoe Hall
Gortnahoe Bingo continues in Gortnahoe Hall every Saturday night at 7pm. Over €2,660 in prize money. Parish support is appreciated.
